Very easy, its just as before - what did you expect?!! I didnt want the extra toggle switch fitting which Keeley seem to fit for the extra gain, I had it modded so the extra gain was there as default, it can easily be dialed out if required. I did insidt on thue bypass though, which Pedalmods did with the addition of a stomp switch on the top of the case, its still almost silent switching - no pops or bangs. Oh and its got a bright blue LED which is a must.

Sound Quality : 10
This mod was certainly worth doing (oh and it only took 4 days!), I used to find that 2 of the swithc positions were just junk, now I've found a use for all the positions - still got my favorite though, but now its bassier, thicker gain, and sustain doesnt break up or fade out quite as quickly as before.

Reliability : 9
Reliability is slightly increased as I requested that Pedalmods fix my DC power jack as it was broken off the board inside. They installed a quality 'Cliff' jack and it all looks rock solid now, the stomp switch was fitted perfectly, dead central, dead neat, had it for three months now and its not let me down. Would give it a 10 but Ibanez has already let me down by originally building the pedal with a crappy power jack.

One of the best I've come across, how many other repair people can you contact at 11:30pm and get a comprehensive reply?

Been playing for 22 years now. I use this to drive a Marshall DSL, the more agressive Marshall overdrive tones lack clarity, so by running the amp at a slight crunch, and then pushing it with the TS9DX I get the tone I really want. If it was lost I'd get another modded one straight from Pedalmods if they sell new units. Oh and the mod was dead cheap, I dont know why they do the basic mod for less than ??30.

No additional controls or switches are added (unlike the Keeley mod which adds an extra footswitch!!???). It's impossible to get a bad sound out of it. It differs from the stock version in that when you change modes, the tone stays useable. The stock version is a very good pedal but the Pedalmods version is a great pedal!

Sound Quality : 10
Used with a selection of guitars from Gibson, Heritage, Yamaha, Ibanez and Steinberger into Trace Elliot Trident, Marshall JCM900 and Crate Powerblock amps, it sounds superb. The mode switch gives everything from SRV to Gary Moore and beyond. Lots of body to the sound but never muffled and with a level of clarity that stock tubescreamers just don't have. It's not noisy for an overdrive, sounds amazing and has a cool blue LED - what more could you possibly want?

Reliability : 10
I've never had a problem with anything from Pedalmods but I am positive that they would sort any problem out to your satisfaction.

These are tough pedals and the work Pedalmods do is to a very high standard and fully guaranteed.

Truly excellent company. Chris has modded numerous pedals for me, all to a very high standard and with unbelievable attention to detail. They're the best.

I play classic rock and some blues and, with any of my amps, this is a great pedal. Huge, quality tone and seems to work with any amp or guitar that I've tried. I've been playing since 1970 and owned loads of gear. If this was lost or stolen I would definitely replace it. Even with a 3 channel, high gain valve amp, it adds something that I'd rather have than not - just a great pedal.

Price paid was for used pedal on e-Bay + the cost of the mod.
