sounded great while it worked, after a few months it died on me.

not reliable, he must have put some bad trannies on mine because it died. did not last long enough to be reliable.

here's where it really sucks! this guy is bad bad bad, he answers emails promptly when you are interested in buying the product, but when its about service, he just don't care. i sent it back for repair, had to wait for about 4 months to get it back, finally when it arived, it was in the same condition as when i sent it to him! unbelievable! i had to pay twice for shipping, sent it back again and have not received it back! this was about 3 months ago. i consider it a loss. i don't get replies from him either. maybe he's out of the business, anyhow, he is not a very honest person.

great product but think twice if you like service for what you pay for. not in the same league as Barber, Fulltone, and many other so called bootik pedal makers.

This is a new grey hammertone Arbiter (England) reissue which are now discontinued. Scotty at Pro Analog modded this particular unit for me and changed the trannies to a NOS Mullard (OC44) at Q1 and a NOS RCA at Q2. He also included a variable bias pot (similar to the sundial knob on an Analogman Sun Face). A Volume knob and a Fuzz knob - nothing complicated about it at all.

I've owned several boutique fuzzes in the past but I've never been able to dial in the exact sound that I've been looking for. This Arbiter is the best sounding germanium ff I've ever had the pleasure to play - smooth, creamy, plenty of gain on hand, no rf problems either. Scotty demod a couple of his modded units for me over the phone and spent over an hour explaining the the inner workings of his modded pedals etc.
Reliability
:
No Opinion
Well I can't really comment on the reliability seeing i've only owned the unit for a couple of months but the overall build quality appears to be good with good quality parts and switches etc.

I've been playing for about 20 years and I play all styles of music. For what I'm looking for in a fuzz this modded unit is IT!!! If it should ever break or get stolen I would contact Scotty immediatley and have him send me another one. mMybe a tad more expensive than other boutique units but in the end it's worth it.
