Ease of Use : 10
Just 2 knobs: filter, which adds or subtracts highs, and level.

Sound Quality : 9
I bought this pedal primarily to get Steve Howe's fuzz tone from the 70's. If I run, from my guitar ( a Jackson Dinky with the Sustainiac) into my Sparkle Drive, Nady Tube Overdrive and Supa Fuzz, I come very close to this sound. Steve overdrove the shit out of his Fender Dual Showmans back in the day, so the extra gain stages appear to compensate for this. I normally go into a Vox Valvetronix 60 amp set to clean.
The grind of the fuzz is not exactly what I was looking for, but it's the closest that I've come to Steve's tone. It's the most organic sounding fuzz that I have, for lack of a better term. It doesn't just sound great, it feels great.

Reliability : No Opinion
Although it's an old pedal, it's built like a brick shithouse. I'd never take it out of the house though - call me paranoid, but this baby was expensive and it's a slice of history to boot. I shall guard it with my life!!!!

Customer Support : 10
I bought my Supa Fuzz from Scotty (scotty@proanalog.com). He answered all of my questions and even called me to give me some tips on using the Supa Fuzz. Very cool guy; he even replaced the trannies (which were not original when he got box) with NOS OC-71's. I shall do business with him again.

Overall Rating : 9
Obviously, I'm a Yes/prog rock head. I have other distortions that I like (e.g., my Akai Shredomatic, Peavey Overdrive and MS drive on my Zoom GFX-8), but there's just something natural and unprocessed sounding about the Supa Fuzz. It's rough and tough on wound string notes yet singing and slightly percussive on the unwound strings. It's been inspiring and fun to play for the couple of weeks that I've had it. If it were lost or stolen, I don't know what I'd do, as I looked on the web for a year for one and only found this one a few weeks ago. Also, $450 for a fuzzbox is an extravagant purchase for this humble civil servant, but if I could find one again and could swing it financially, I'd go for it.
