OK, this review is LONG overdue. I've been using a Morley Fuzz Wah for about 19 years and it's acting funny due to the mileage I've put on it, so I've been looking for a wah for a couple of years once it started to act up and haven't found anything that did it for me.
The El Diablo is SICK! It's got two inductors, the yellow AND red Fasels. It has a selector knob on the side where you can choose the old school yellow, the new red one or both in series (which is how I run it, SOOOOOOOOOOOO dense). Also, a Saturation knob that governs how much of the signal goes to the wah circuit and a Peak control that's more noticeable when you use distortion with it. PLUS an LED to show it's on which is handy wehn you've got a shitty monitor mix and LOUD stage volume. I really feel it's the perfect wah...straight out of the box great. I used to use the Morley's fuzz to "wake up" the wah but this one's first in the chain and screams, I'm sure it has something to do with the saturation control. True bypass so it's mad quiet

I feel confident that it's not necessary to bring along a back up, shit, I don't even OWN a back up. All the other pedals I have from Pro Tone have never given me any grief so no worries there. They're all super solid with sturdy stomp switches and bright LEDs.

Always a pleasure dealing with Dennis...cool guy. Rapid responses to any inquiry I've had and considering who he's building stuff for and how busy he is it's refreshing.

Perfect match for any style that needs a wah. Rock, Funk, whatever...the pedal's versatility is truly amazing. I would buy another in a heartbeat of this was ever ripped off.
I really love this wah, for me it's perfect.
