I wanted a bypass pedal so I could switch a series of effects in and out at the same time with one switch.
I ordered a Pro Tone Fast Lane online from the US (music shops here in Australia carry only a VERY limited range of pedals at ridiculous prices). When it arrived, I got it out of the box, had a look at it, and put it straight back in. If Pro Tone's other pedals are of similar build quality to this one, it's wonder they're still in business.
* It's made of plastic
* The jacks are all crappy plastic
* The paint finish is uneven - glossy in places, rough in others
* The graphics look like they've been printed out on a computer, cut out and then glued on
* It rattles when you shake it
* The rubber feet on the bottom have simply been glued on over the top of the paint. One of them came off in transit.
Basically it looks like something some high school kid threw together in Industrial Arts class, and there is NO WAY it's going on my pedal board next to world class pedals from Fulltone, Moog and T.C. Electronic.
Oh, and another thing: it can't be run off an AC adapter. You'll probably have to pull the plugs out of it when you're not playing so as not to run down the battery, thus helping to wear out those crappy jacks extra quick. And what if the battery dies on stage?
I wanted a Loop-Master, but the guy never replied to my e-mails. Now I'm out of pocket $US30 for the postage on this piece of rubbish. The joys of online shopping!
