one of the first attenuators in production. It did what it was suppose to do in decible reduction after cranking up your tube amp full throttle...
I went through 2 sets of power tubes in about a year & 2 months using this thing & not on a daily basis..I play mostly weekends & maybe a night or two if at all on the work week..I ususally play for 2 or 3 hours at a time..
I think Im lucky to have not damaged my output transformer , for example , by using the soak...
Make sure if you try one , you use speaker cables & not guitar leads to hook your soak between your cab & head...

sounds great with new working tubes cranked up..
excellent drive & sonic punch right in your face with an attenuator..
Dont think it wont change your true tone...Add a few eq's & youll be fine again

I had one for about a year & a half & sold it for more than I paid..The investment I made wont add up to the price of the tubes I had to buy..
If you're a professional studio , I could see this being a useful piece to have..A touring musician would be replacing tubes left & right using this thing on a daily basis...
It eats tubes...enough said
