Ease of Use

Like all compressors, it takes a bit of twiddling to get what you're looking for. There is plenty of control and the Rocktron quality is there in bucketloads. because everything is by direct knob/button control this is easier than some compressors. It is specifically designed for a guitar signal and sits nicely in a rack in front of your preamp.

I use this with a Yamaha RGX820z, Jackson DK2, Hohner Tele XII and an Ibanez Blazer. It is great for balancing signals between single coil/humbucker pickups and really smooths those Satch tapping pieces. I have an almost entirely Rocktron rack (Piranha, Intellipitch, Xpression and All Access) and this integrates perfectly.

one word, bombproof (I have a suspicion that might be two words but I'm not that fussy).

I play in a covers band doing stuff from 50's to present day and it is very useful throughout a set list of 115 or so songs. I only wish that it was MIDI switchable. This also satisfies one of the main aims for me in a rack, plenty of flashing lights - these help to distract the audience from the bum notes!
