This is a 1/2 rack distortion unit with a gate built in. The knobs are Hi - Mid - Mid Fq - Low - Gain and Threshold, On Off, Bypass
Runs on 12 vdc. Got this on about 10 yrs ago and is one of my best overdrive units. simple to use

Use this unit with a footswitch I rigged up for it and all of my other rack units. The drive in this is superb. Its got a tight Natural sound with great Harmonics. The built in EQ lets you adjust to taste. Have used with all my amps [Marshall Fender Sunn]and they all sound great. I have Overdrive in my marshall but seem to use this more often. Its hard to get the marshall to tame down for sertain stuff. They dont just have a Fuzz drive Both Overdrive chanels are driven pretty hard so its hard to get a good rock rythum thing happening. The GDR on the otherhand can be set from clean to over the edge with anything in between. It also responds well to use of the guitar knobs the way it should. I set mine for a nice Brown fender sound & let the marshall drive handel the British sound. When you run this into an echo unit and crank it up man you wont want to come back.

Pots were kind of cheezy and were sealed so they couldnt be cleaned They got too scratchy so I replaced them all a while back. Sounds like new again. Never had anything else go wrong with it.

These may be hard to find. Seeing I was the first to review it here. I remember seeing a show with Larry Carlton showing off his stuff and he used mostly all Rocktron stuff. Wouldnt mind having another one of these so My other Guitarist and I could have a simular sound. Been plauing over 30Yrs Professionally and Ive hung on to this baby. Never seen one on ebay either. Guess whoevers got them hang on to them.
