With two footswithsable channels and know digital stuff, it's very simple to operate.

I didn't like the sound of it. The distortion was way to "bzzzz" and the scoop button didn't really work the way I wanted. And when it's called "gainiac", you'd expect something that sound a bit more panzer than this. The clean channel was very ordinare... Nothing special.
But for more toned-down music styles, it may work.

I didn't have any problems with it, but the construction of it seemed very cheap and fragile. The plastic and paper and all that. You know what i mean when you see it...

I play Heavy Metal, and it didn't work for me. But I'm not gonna say it's crap, cause it may work for others.
I bought it used from a friend, (who had bought it new just a couple om months before) then i sold it after only a few weeks.

Easy enough to operate. There is a manual included. It would have been nice if there were some presets included to get you started.

To be fair I would like to mention that I sent the output from the unit directly into I high wattage power amp. In my opinion the distortion produced by this unit is terrible. It does not produce half of the gain that Rocktron claims it does. At it's highest gain setting it is incredibly noisy.

I cannot say whether or not this unit is reliable. I will be returning it tomorrow.

I would not recommend this unit to anyone looking for an over the top heavy metal/distortion sound.
