Ease of Use : 10
Very easy to use. Well known drive, level and tone knobs for each of the two overdrives, bass boost switches for each and a "more gain" switch (909 mode) for the left overdrive. Bolt/in-line switch and a "go" switch for the left overdrive. That's it. Do not even need the manual to use the pedal.

Sound Quality : 10
Using a Peavey Classic 30 (great amp btw.) with a self made extension cabinet, a HK strat with Seymour Duncan Everything Axe set loaded in, as well as a Peavey EVH Wolfgang special with Seymour Duncan Hot Rodded Humbucker set loaded in.
No further effects used.
The 828 sounds GREAT!! It keeps the warm, natural sound of the tube amp.
In 808 mode, it sounds as SRV (I love it).
Another dimension of sound quality as the cheap sounding Boss/Ibenez/Behringer pedals!
828 provides natural tube sound, great harmonics and lots of sustain. Sounds like an amp, not like a pedal!
Unit does not provide too much noise

Reliability : 10
Build like a tank!

Have a look at the review of Daryl Chaney - my opinion is pretty much the same, except the fact that problem with the tone control makes it for me unusable, which is very pity because transparency and clarity are very important for me. When the tone knob is turned all the way to maximum you get that transparency, but then there's a lack of lower mid so the sound is flat.
I hope Mr.Rodenberg will read these opinions and take them in consideration.

Built like a tank, I guess nothing can destroy it.

Ease of Use : 9
This effect is a 2 stage overdrive/distortion.
Simple controls, volume, tone and gain for each stage. the volume controls can be slightly fiddly to use as they are the tiny alpha pots. but you never have to worry about knocking them accidentally, which is a major plus for live performance.
There are also extra switches for extra bass response (for each gain stage) a parallel/serial switch to allow both or eithier/or of the gain stages to be used and on the 2nd gain stage there is a switch for MORE gain.
So its fantastically versitile and easy to use.

Sound Quality : 9
this thing sounds amazing, nice creamy overdrive rich in harmonics. And the 2nd gain stage goes to full blown distortion, which is slightly similar to RAT distortion, when turned up full whack. The bass switches allow super versitility and the tone knobs work well, but i feel the overdrive only comes to full life when the tone knob is on full otherwise it just sounds a bit dead to me and with the tone on full it generates a very mild hiss, but this is completely undetectable when playing, especially on lower gain settings.

Reliability : 10
Built like a tank. fat switches, massive jewel led's which could light up a house, super smooth footswitches, smooth control knobs.
In constant use for over a year now with no issues what-so-ever
would gig without a backup.

Customer Support : 10
Fantastic customer support, dealt with the maker direct, great communications, he even emailed me asking if the pedal got to me in the post okay.

Overall Rating : 9
I love this pedal, best overdrive i've ever had and i've had alot.
My only concern with this pedal is the tone control (see above) but it is still fully useable and playable.

Fantastic value for money, i got 2 ts-808's and a ts-9 in one box.
and the actual look of the pedal is great. especially lit up with those huge jewel lights.

I HAVE PUT AWAY THE FULL TONE!!! I used the full drive for years but I found my self searching for another channel with more gain at times...I wished I could OVERDRIVE it more......now the FULLDRIVE is my back up pedal...I got the dual pedal....I use an 808 on one side and a 909 on the other. This pedal is very capable of creating many great tones...!! DID I MENTION ITS LABLED GASS TO KICK IT ON!?!

Ulrich Rodenberg was very helpful, made me a smoking deal and made sure I was happy with his work. Its like owning a one of a kind instead of a copy of a copies copy reissue. PAY THE $$$ YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY. GAS!!!

Beautiful overdrive(s). Almost perfect....

This might be unfair but I am giving this a 9 because there are lots of knobs and switches to play with; the combinations are basically endless. 3 knobs is a ten, 6 rotary knobs and 4 switches is a 9!!!!

Mine is serial number 111.

It is impossible to get an ugly sound, and it takes very little to dial something lovely.

To dial something perfect THAT takes a while, too much room for experimentation!!! Sooo many variables. Incredible.

Guitars:
Gibson Flying V (1978)
Shergold Masquerader (1977)
Fender Strat (Mexican version)

Amps:
Fender Bassmans
Vox Valvetronix AD15VT
Marshall JTM-30
Gallien-Krueger 250MLii
Small Marshall Solid State
THD Univalve

As someone mentioned in the Univalve.net forum: this pedal feels like a mod, not a pedal. It blends so extraordinarily with the tubes of your amp, it is just butter. I am in love with this pedal, the options are endless.

The pedal is two pedals in one, with independent tone, gain and volume controls for each side and two idenpedent on/off switches:

On the left side you have a GAS-808 (read the review); on the right side you have ANOTHER GAS-808 but this side can be switched into a GAS-909 which is a high gain version of the GAS-808 (3x more overdrive).

The pedals can be run bolt or in serial mode, there is a switch for this. Bolt means that you have two different pedals with two different sounds, only one pedal working at any given moment. When you step unto one of the GAS the other GAS turns off, and viceversa.

The serial mode allows the two pedals to be ran one on top of the other for extra extra extra heavy gain.

There are two switches (one for each pedal) to boost the bass of the overdrive, giving more bottom end.

There is another switch that allows you to convert one of the GAS-808 into a GAS-909 an overdrive pedal that has three times more gain than the the GAS-808. It is more modern sounding.

The possible combinations, the effortless nature by which this pedal blends with your amp (solid-state or tube) is truly impressive. With my Gallien-Krueger 250ML this amp works just as well as with my Uni-valve. Pure cream in both of them. With the solid-state it feels more like a pedal, while with the tube amp feels like a bolt of Godly inspiration!!!!

One true advantage of this pedal is that it is built by one guy by himself. Mine is only serial number 111, meaning that there are not lots of people with this kind of cadillac out there!!!

Reliability : 10
Alluminum chasis. heavy and large, two huge and beautiful LED lights to help you locate it in a dim stage. Two years warranty. I would certainly gig without back up.

Customer Support : 10
Ulrich, the guy who ships them, builds them, and packs them, is extremely helpful and takes his business really seriously. I would recommend the pedal to my best friends only. My enemies do not deserve this Godly tone.

Overall Rating : 9
This pedal is very helpful for the type of weird odd-beat Spanish rock music that I play. The only thing is that it cannot be used as a clean-boost, which could be a very good and sellable feature. It colors your sound at all times when it is on -it is true-bypass when off. I think that a little less aggressiveness in one of the pedals -given the almost unlimited amount of gain of the GAS-909- is a reasonable suggestion. Given that Ulrich sought about everything but this clean boost possibility, I am giving a 9!!!!

It is unfair, but that is the truth. A perfect pedal by all means.
