Ease of Use : 10
Rather simple device, easy to dial to taste in either mono or stereo.
If you can play a guitar, you can work this easily.

Sound Quality : 8
A bit of noise floor, but not bad really. Nice stereo spread, and gives a nice sheen to your sound (if you dig the "chorus" thing.
Phase transition between channels seems a bit abrupt, but for the low bucks, they did a fairly good job. I tested this against the Maxon, Visual sound, TC Elec. and a couple others. For the bucks, it certainly held it's own. I use it in conjunction with the Boss DD-6 delay which keeps the stereo aspect due to it being stereo as well, and also with a Fulltone 2 as a overdrive/distortion, as my Super Reverb doesn't have that really, but this combination has serious potential in a variety of tone requirements, without a shitload of noise accompanying the direct sound. My Strat makes this combo hum just a bit, but also makes pretty much anything hum just a bit too.

The two effects together give a great stereo version of what I hoped the Visual sound unit would do, but it had considerably more noise than the two of these units together did, and these can go stereo, whereas the H2O is only mono.

Reliability : 5
Don't expect shit for help from Roland...easier to replace if it goes south. They should put a decent hard bypass on these, but figured you won't mind having your sound cut out when the battery fails.
Aren't they so thoughtful of your needs?

Customer Support : 1
If it's Roland, it sucks. That's all you have to know.
Wish these unit's were made by a reputable firm, but unfortunately they still say Boss on them. I pretty much loathe their business and design practices. Most of their shit is completely unserviceable with proprietary parts you can't get anywhere but from them. Coded part numbers 'n all. Definitely NOT user friendly firm.

Overall Rating : 6
Good for the money, bad that it's a Roland product!
I stopped using their equipment after opening up a JC120 amp once.

This unit is cheap enough to be expendable if it/probably goes south at some point. It sounds OK as things go I guess, so I'll use it a while.
