Very simple/4 basic controls...dial up to taste.

Rather good bandwidth and tone reproduction of sampled tones. Rather close to original sound, and not a lot of floor noise either.

Seems to be rugged enough, but recommend a filtered 9vdc power supply as it sucks a good amount of current (55-57ma) during use. The battery should only be a backup. When the battery goes south, it produces some funky noises though. They should have had some sort of voltage detecting relay output bypass; instead, it chops off your output completely. Not too great if you're playing when she goes.

Roland sucks as a company service-wise in my opinion. Repair is cost prohibitive, (unless you do this yourself)replacement more likely. If you send it in under warranty, I'd expect new models to be released before ya gits 'er back fixed up. (You'll miss dinners for sure.)

Play many varieties over thirty five years. I own literally shitloads of gear. None of it Roland but for this one piece. They pretty much suck as a company. They don't even provide an e-mail address. If it was lost, I'd get another cause it works good for the money, it's a stereo unit, easy to tag along etc.
Should have a hard bypass, but that would cost .30 cents, and likely that would've eliminate some VP's xmas bonus, so they opted not to provide that. It does have ample time for whatever delay effect you need though. It also has pretty smooth fade outs. Fairly good S/N ratio.
