Easy to use. Plug in the MIDI cable and power adaptor.

No sound quality to report. It's a MIDI foot controller.

It's built well. I have mine velro mounted to a pedal board. I'd gig this without a backup.

Roland seems to build pretty reliable gear. I've never had to deal with their customer support for problems.

I play in a metal band. I've been playing for 16 years. I've owned a few different MIDI pedal boards over the years (ADA MC-1, ART X-11, Mesa Abacus) and I really like this one the best. I prefer the latch style pedals to the little metal switches. The latches are just beefier and have a better feel to me. I also really like the simplicity of the design on this pedal and the compact size. I don't use more than 5 effects patches so I don't even need to switch banks of presets. It seems well built. The only knock I have on the unit is that it uses a wall wart adaptor. I'd prefer it to have an internal power supply.
