Simple to use, runs off 120V AC mains with 3 prong plug, plus in and out jacks and 10 sliders for the frequency bands: that's it. Very low noise. This unit is black and made in Taiwan. The others I've seen are blue. This may be a later unit.

Very effective, especially in the bass ranges where it provides some real meat to guitar. Very little noise. I use this in the effects loop of my tube amp.

Works well on any style of music. Adds meat to the low end and restores some high end shimmer lost to other effects, works especially well with my Boss Acoustic Simulator.

this is a cool vintage EQ dont see em around all that often easy enough to slide the sliders but still takes time to try many settings to find the sweet spot for your tastes

a lot of pedal EQs can emit a certain amount of noise but this one is nice and quiet which is one the main things a like about it - it is hard wired with no footswitch - but hey it's vintage - it's quiet and I always have my EQ on all the time anyway - plus if it really bothers you you can always stick it in with a truebypass looper - DOES IT AFFECT MY SOUND? i hope so thats why I got it to shape the different freqs for harmonics with my compressor bass etc... and it does a very good job - the sound quality depends on what else you got goin on in your rig but it's a quality eq and it's been around for ages still goin strong still sounds awesome and did i mention quiet yet-

i wish it didn't take up the amount of space on my pedal board - and a footswitch would be nice - but i like the fact that it has ten bands of EQ and that its super quiet - i can dial in the settings i need - its as least as good as any other pedal EQ i ever tried and better than the majority - there may be better, i don't know, but its deffinately a cool vintage EQ if you can get a good deal on one of these pick it up - may go up in value some day . not that many around compared to boss dod ibanez or ...

Pretty simple. Blue box; 10 slides; in and out jacks; and a plug. The 10 ranges more than cover the spectrum for a guitar. I wish it had a bypass switch which I find very useful in my Ibanez GE10.

I use it to add some bottom and mid from a Hamer tele to a an otherwise nasal (when played clean) Marshall lead 12 solid state practice amp; it does that well. Not a whole lot of boost, but it shapes the tone as it should. And it's quiet.

In general, EQs are a great tools. They can bring life to an otherwise flat pedal or amp. For the price I paid, this one's a keeper. If it got stolen, not a catastrophe, I've also got an Ibanez GE10, which is more versatile because it has more boost and a bypass switch; but it's not as quiet as the Ross.

Amazing Sound. I'm a producer/engineer who plays guitar - both rock blues with Fuzz and clean guitar tracks. This EQ makes the sound a hell of alot better. If it were stolen/lost - I'd take the temporary insanity defense when I discovered who did it.... Two knob covers are off. No big deal. Don't know about other EQ pedals. Does it help make music? Yes. What you play inspires you to do more and more and more.
It has the heart and soul of rock and roll.
