That's a graphic stereo eqalizer, 2 x 15 bands, just move the sliders !!

I mainly play on a 93 strat+, and from time to time on an old telecaster '77. My main effect is a rocktron voodu valve "online" rack, then into a Peavey classic 50 4x10. Good setup to play from blues to seventies style hard rock - led zepp, deep purple and all those gods...
This equalizer is exactly what it should be : shape your sound, from -12db up to +12db for each frequency, plus an extra +12/-12 db for the main channel. Can be noisy at +12db, but +12db shouold never be used, hmm ?
Add extra mids, cut any muddy bass, gig with a clean, powerfull trebble sound... just slide the pots, and get the sound you like.
I've been searching for the right sound for years, and believe me an equalizer is a very usefull tool for that quest. This ross rx-15s unit is very good, and stereo (means you get 2 for the price of 1 : just plug the "output" of the 1st one into the "input" of the second one, and you get and incredible tone control)
I put a 9 because the noise you get at +12 db. But for standard uses, a 10 is OK.

Got it for 3 years now, buyed it "used", never any issue... At that price level, if dammaged we should just throw it away and buy a new "used" one, no ?

Definitively a must. An equalizer is a very quick and easy way to shape your own sound, or kill any unwanted feedback, and so forth... This Ross rack is nice to look at (hey, that's important too, no ?), efficient and low cost. A 10 is right.
