Very easy to use, make sure you plug everything in before powering up though. Cables supplied although the option to have right angle DC plugs would be useful as my board is quite compact. There's also non on/off switch to complicate matters either.

Cured a hum problem I had immediately, very good. After a friends switch mode PSU took almost ??1000 of pedals down, I stopped using the switch mode one I was using and went for one of these too. You get what you pay for!

Very quick email responses from the company, very helpful indeed. Listing other cables such as right angle DC cables would be useful as I would have ordered these when I bought this online.

Superb product, I expect this will last a long time. Time to bin all the old PSU's I've acquired and I'll probably get another one for home studio use. It's very competitively priced compared to the Voodoo Labs and T-Rex PSU's

Very easy to use as part of my pedalboard set-up. The six power leads are just the right amount and the leads are all of a decent length making it easy to connect to pedals wherever they are on the board. Lovely blue hi-fi type light let's you know the power is on. Cool!

What can I say! After years of using underpowered units to power up with, this beauty has made all the difference. Took it in to the local music shop while having my pedals board leads customised and the owner was amazed that it was completely silent in operation - he'd never seen that before in a power supply. I believe he now wants to become a dealer for the Stompjuice!

As they say, built like a tank! Compared to other power supplies that have broken down, had splits in the wires and generally given up the ghost, the Stompjuice looks like it will last. Great construction with superb attention to detail.

This must seem boring that I'm scoring 10 out of 10 everytime, but it would be unfair to show a lower rating. Bought the Stompjuice from Rothwell direct and was delivered within a couple of days. Postage only ??3.50. E-mailed the company with queries and had a personal reply from Andrew Rothwell himself. Great service, I'm very impressed!

Just a great product that I wished I had purchased years ago. Yes, it is more expensive than your usual basic power supply, but as they say 'cost is what you pay, value is what you get'! If it were lost or stolen I would replace it immediately, no question.

Straightforward power supply for up to 5 pedals. No tricksy nonsense. A little blue light tells you it's on.

It's built by a small company who are hi-fi buffs. So you know to expect something good. I hooked it up with a variety of pedals including a Roger Mayer Voodoo Vibe, a T.Rex Moller, and a DanElectro Dan Echo. I tried them all out on a Vox AC30cc2x using my trusty Fender Stratocaster (USA, 1979.)
I played things clean and quiet, and I tried it with the amp and effects up loud. The unit was reassuringly noiseless and did the job. So then I plugged it into a a Boss HM-2 distortion pedal and a Cry Baby wah pedal. Same thing, noiseless. No hum, nothing. Beautiful!

I've only had it briefly but I can't see it going wrong. It's a tidy unit with nothing jutting out that may get knocked off. It's a metal casing so the only way you'll damage it is by throwing it off a tall building. The 5 connections and sturdy power cable (all supplied with the Stompjuice) are a perfect fit. Yes I'd gig with it without worrying about having a back up.

Outstanding, as you'd hope for from a small company.
You get what you pay for - a personal pre and post sales service, and a flawlessly built product. I contacted Andrew before making the purchase to ask details about it's compatibility with an unusual pedal I was thinking of buying, The Janglebox. Unlike most pedals it requires centre-positive polarity. So I was worried it wouldn't be usable with the Stompjuice. Andrew contacted the Janglebox makers, discussed techy details and kept me up to date on their dialogue. When I took the plunge and bought the Stompjuice, Andrew made me a special adaptor lead for that pedal free of charge. The whole package was delivered within a couple of days. They clearly have a strong sense of pride in designing and building their products and ensuring their customers are more than satisfied.

I've been playing guitar for over 20 years now, recording and touring, and in all that time I've been through an awful lot of equipment, some good and some bad. Something as essential as a power supply for those pedals needs to be paid more attention to. There are other good ones on the market, and I've tried most of them, but the Stompjuice is the best I've used. I usually play with a very clean sound and use single-coil guitars, so the subject of hum and noise is always something that needs to be addressed when I chose new equipment. It's a relief to to find a completely noiseless power unit.
I never thought I could ever give something a '10' rating, but in this case it's been well earned. The Rothwell Stompjuice is a keeper.

Very easy to use, in fact, can't really see how this could be any easier. You simply install it on your pedal board, if you have one, connect the effects with high quality leads supplied, plug in and your ready to go.

Being a jazz/blues player, I'm not a pedal junkie - I run a Keeley compressor, Tube Screamer, Wah, Flanger and Korg Orchestral Tuner, with a passive Ernie Ball volume pedal. Has room for 6 50mA devices, more than enough for most tastes. There is no noticeable sound degradation and this is through a high-end set up - PRS Custom 22 Artist, Les Paul, Custom Shop Strat, hand-wired Fender amps.
Sound quality is therefore excellent, but then, this is exactly what would be expected from a company with a serious reputation in high-end Hi Fi. It looks great too, absolutely peerless build quality
Certain players will need more connectivity, but your answer is buy two, but this will still work cheaper than other comparable devices.

It's build like a tank and won't wrong - barring serious abuse and the unexpected, the only thing which can go is the fuse, but Rothwell are considerate enough to put a spare in the unit itself.

A friendly small company, who are nice to do business with and deserve recognition for an excellent product.
As an example, I phoned up and ordered mine at time they were temporarily out of stock, but I was offered a 'B' stock item, which I was told, was cosmetically flawed, owing to a print error - it was otherwise in perfect working order, but was #10 cheaper as result of the flaw. I not normally go for imperfect/B stock, but instinct told me it would be OK on this occassion. When the unit arrived, all that was wrong with it was a very tiny dab of errant white paint on the chassis cover, which I simply covered with a small round black sticker which came with some Samsonite luggage...and it looks great!!
Thanks alot guys.....I can think of many dealers that would do as I did, but charge the full price......

A great looking and rugged product, built like a tank - if you use effects, forget Powerbrick, etc., give these guys a ring, give them your support and give them an order!
Compared to others in the market, its an absolute steal.

Stompjuice is a very practical device that will power up to 6, 9V stomp boxes (more if you get some daisy chains.) It's a cool, efficient looking black box, everything very sleek and neat and tidy.
Dead easy to use: mains input on one side of the black box, and six 9V outputs on the other. 9V Connector and mains leads supplied: plug up your stomp boxes, plug into the mains and away you go...

I use the Stompjuice to power up all my pedals on my board: currently about 8; I get round this by using a Boss daisy chain on one of the six outputs. Asside from the huge practicality of this simple unit,
(no more faffing with wall-warts)It's great to know all the pedals are recieving a good, regulated flow of current and performing to their best.

Stompjuice is very solidly constructed from top class materials: Outside, solid steel casing attractively painted gloss black.
Inside, the device is superbly put together from what looks like UK sourced, top quality parts. Well done , Rothwell! I have gigged with this unit solidly for about a year and can testify it is the business, running very reliably and smoothly. It is a fused unit, so it's worth remembering to pack some spare 1A fuses and screwdriver in case you need to change a fuse. Rothwell reccomend that you unplug the mains lead before you start swopping 9V power leads about,(especially daisy chains) as you can cause a momentary short circuit in such circumstances, which can blow the fuse. Thats only ever happened to me once, (think it must have been the daisy chain)but it was just before the start of a gig, so I was glad that I'd packed a spare 1 amp fuse! so I was OK. (I have , however, quite happily swapped leads about whilst it is plugged in, so most of the time you won't have a problem so long as you're carefull with those daisy chains!)In general, I'm really reasured that this is a fused unit, an aspect that always worried me using wall warts with stomp boxes. I do pedal mods, and recently patched in a Boss CS-3 I'd recently modded and wired a diode up wrong! Stompjuice immediately blew a fuse, which was great as it stopped further possible harm to the CS-3. It's great to be reassured that you are protected from surges in power at those outdoor gigs using dodgy generators!

Rothwell are brilliant to deal with: Very friendly, communicative and helpfull: For example; I needed some 9V leads a little longer than those supplied; no problem , Rothwell promptly made me some more to my exact spec. length for a very reasonable price.
If this unit was ever to go wrong (which I very much doubt: looks like it would withstand an earthquake) I'm very confident Rothwell would sort thing out in a jiffy.
A very caring small scale UK company of the type that I enjoy doing business with.

It's an effects power supply. How hard can that be. Although, as stated in the guitarist magazine review it could do with a selection of different length leads.

Doesn't make a sound but all my digitech pedals sound better when not running on batteries, especialy the main squeeze. It may just be psychological though but perhaps the power supply can better track the change in drawn current between the output extremes than can a battery.

Bought this for three reasons. I needed to stop buying duracells as I my pedalboard uses eight 9 volt stomp boxes, I have a custom built guitar made by Rothwell 20 years ago (when they did make them) and it has been the most reliable guitar I have ever had, and guitarist magazine reviewed the stompjuice and said it was bomb proof. They where right as it is built like a tank.

Bought direct from the manufacturer of their web site (www.rothwellaudioproducts.co.uk) and only paid #3.50 postage (even though it weighs over 1 kg). Ordered about 2:30 on a wednesday afternoon and it was delivered by Royal mail at 11AM the following morning.
The only other time I have dealt with them was about 10 years ago when I dropped my guitar and snapped a machine head. The took it in, took it apart cleaned everything, resoldered all joints, changed two of the knobs (because the chrome was wearing) replaced the machine head and gave it back like new with new strings. Total cost, the price of a set of strings and a machine head.

Power supplies may be boring but I don't know why I have taken so long to get one. It does exactly what it says in it's name. It gives juice to the stomp box. Could do with a selection of cables but is definitely bomb proof and has already saved me about 10 quid in batteries.
