the silky clean warm sound is a joy for your ears and if you pulled out the knob! this sound will blow you away and I do not mean in power even on high vol.
Ih you looking for the rory gallagher rock sound than you use the crunch site and even that has an overdrive.
I do not have minor points as maybe one the foot switch it's hard to find one if you done't have one it needs a 5 point plug.

I did not found the year that they where made not even on S.DUNCAN site but I have him for 4 years now and he never let me down, not even the tubes so I don't know how old he is.
On stage I play yes songs, rock and blues songs and it's easy to change sound on the two channels
I have another band and there I play jazz with it together with my Marlborough amp.
one ch. is clean and has a overdrive and the other ch. has a crunch and a overdrive.
Change sounds is very easy

4 years allready I play with yhis amp and never let me down In the studio I'll come only with this amp with a speaker emulater and plug it in the line-in from the mixing table I do not use a big amp.
I never change the tubes so far couse the still work fine even after all this time

You can try to find a seymore duncan dealer for spare parts, but the electr.parts are common parts so it should not be difficult to repair him by you local repair shop.
The tubes are easy to buy

together with my Marlboro. guitar amp on stage and some foot controls and my speaker emulater I need no more it give's what you want.
I used some pre-amps befor like a sonitus and a meek but I'll prefer this one far better
It's a pre-amp that match the ridicules expensive one's and I can only say that if you ever find one ....buy him directly.

Single rack space tube preamp has 3 knobs for EQ and two overdrive channels (each channel has an overdrive knob and a volume knob). There is also an output volume knob and two parallel outputs. Very easy to use. The four-button foot pedal is also well laid out with LED's above the switches as well as LED's on the rack.

This thing sounds excellent! Nice tube overdrive. The first channel allows you to get a nice subtle overdrive. The second channel goes all the way up to hard-rock/metal, so no matter what style you play, this thing covers all the bases. Though I didn't play this thing along side of anything else, I would say it is very similar to the Dean Markley Overlord that I once had.

Don't know. Has tubes in it, so you shouldn't abuse it too much. Seems built well though.

Never tried. If you do a bit of looking around on the internet, you'll find very little info on this unit.

I play all styles, country to metal. This thing is great for everything. Wish it could be controlled by MIDI or had a non-proprietary footswitch so that I could use my Rockman MIDI octopus to control it. I also don't like the way the EQ is set up on it - when you turn all three knobs down, you can't hear ANYTHING... this is exactly how my Dean Markley Overloard worked and that was a key reason for me selling it.
