Ease of Use : 10
Very simple... tone and volume controls (which are interactive).

Sound Quality : 10
Using it as a pre amp for my acoustic guitar in live settings. i have a Martin 00-15 with a K&K pickup installed, run to the Missising Link, out to a Radial JDI direct box, out to the board. Very quiet, clean boost with control over tone.

Reliability : 10
Seems rock solid, not much to go wrong, and Chris builds his stuff with utmost care and attention to detail.

Customer Support : 10
Chris is the best. He is ALWAYS willing to talk shop, and guarantees his tubes for life (He'll replace them if they ever go bad). He's a rare breed, and he cares very much about the satisfaction of his customers and does not compromise one bit on his products.

Overall Rating : 10
I know this review may sound over the top positive, but I honestly can't think of one thing that Chris could do to improve upon what he is doing... and I'm very sure if he thinks of anything, he will apply it. I am happy to support such a fine craftsman, and his prices are more than fair. Nice work Chris Siegmund, and I look forward to receiving my amp from you as well.

Ease of Use : 10
Simple to use/Volume-Tone IN_OUT

Sound Quality : 10
Nothing could prepare me for what I was to see when I opened the box. It is the absolute coolest looking in design and function of a pedal I have ever seen, since I was put on this planet.
Plugged it in I was floored, it was like my pickups had open heart surgery. I tried it first in line and last in line, it was awesome either way. The tone control is a perfect function just like the mid control in the Midnight Special (really the control I use 99% of the time in the MS) Turning the treble all the way up, still could provide a usefull treble if needed (his treble tones are the best!!!). Turning the tone all the way down provides the perfect amount of bass and treble mute for some jazz licks.
I did a test which all pedals fail and this came thru with flying colors/ I hit my compressor first (homebrew retro comp) and put the ouput all the way up which always overloads anything after it, I then I went into my analogmans king of tone and put the output all the up on that and then into the Missing Link and guess what the Missing Link had enough headroom to handle it. The tone and level of grit did not change one bit. Now we really have a very usefull clean pedal !
This pedal however simple it may appear at first is far from simple in use. I can tell after just a few hours it will take on many uses, some I have not even figured out yet. I tried it direct to tape and it was awesome. I could go to a gig with just a pedal board and plug directly into the PA as long as this was in the chain. It is very Siegmund amp-like in tone. Very, very dynamic and touch sensetive.
It is definitley a amp in a box. BRAVO! BRAVO! (take a bow Chris) Oh I forgot, this pead is dead quiet, always a plus.

Reliability : 10
Siegmund's Amp is like a tank, build -wise/ this is made the same way!

Customer Support : 10
The best/ his knowledge is way above most amp and guitar dealer-makers/ he leaves everyone in the dust/ no clone's here but honest, original designs that I am most gratefull for/Chris himself is the "MISSING LINK"/he is very aware that his designs function perfectly!!!

Overall Rating : 10

Ease of Use : No Opinion
Simple as it gets. Volume and Tone. No rating needed here.

Sound Quality : 10
I got this to boost my single coil equipped strats. I am retiring my old pramp and needed a replacement. I mainly use higher end modern high gain amps. I only use the Missing Link just a bit to get a little boost for tight bass response. If you use this in front of a clean amp/clean channel it can get a bit magical. Lots of warm tone with nice overtones. I don't play clean though really, so that's for the next person to report on. The microtube can be very thick sounding, not what you may expect from a little tube. I like the fact that this is fairly transparent, gives me the boost I need without changing the character of the amp, and also adds a little musicality of its own. I think the boost that this provides is 25db.

Reliability : 10
Well built, shock mounted tube, good chassis design. Chris uses the best parts etc. I have not had it very long, but it's been thrown around every day for practice or gigging.

Customer Support : 10
Chris is a low volume high customer service guy. Look at his site or give him a call; you'll see. This is the ideal situation in my opinion. I diliberately buy from people like this when possible.

Overall Rating : 10
I pretty much use the various higher end high gain amps out there. I aply aggresively. One thing I did try was slamming my Marshall Major with this. The Missing Link and a treble booster takes me back to 70's arena rock. Deafening? Yep, but such a guilty pleasure.
I have insurance, so if this were lost/stolen it would be replaced.
I am comparing this to various preamps (tube and FET), but there are very few current production tube preamps out there actually. So I wasn't swimming in alternatives. I talked to Chris and we got an understanding of my needs and his goals and they matched pretty well.
I think considering the quality parts, good design, and importance to my sound I find the price of the unit acceptable.
No batteries either, which is very practical for me. No wall wart either, well thought out.
