Very easy to use. One volume knob, one 'range' knob, input and output. When I first started using it I noticed it was very hard to click on and off (just like everyone else). I had to put an awful lot of weight on my toe to get it to click. Found an easy fix for this though. I took off one of the rubber stoppers on the footplate (the one that hits the pedal first), then removed the foam backing to the stopper, and replaced the stopper. Works perfectly now, clicks on and off with just the right amount of weight.

I'm mostly using a BC Rich NJ series Beast bass, going through a Boss ODB1 bass distortion pedal, Ashdown Mag 300h amp and 410T deep cab.
I'm getting a huge array of amazing sounds from this pedal - exactly what I was looking for. I play alot of Metallica, and if you want to get that Cliff era distorted wah, on tracks such as For Whom The Bell Tolls and Anasthesia, this pedal is PERFECT. I havn't noticed any excess noise coming from the pedal in it's off position, nor have I noticed any noise coming from it in it's on position (aside the expected from a wah pedal).

When I first started using it, the pedal would cut sound completely when the pedal was in it's off position. A liberal spray of electrical contact cleaner on the switch has seemed to sort this, but I can't be 100% it won't come back, so I'm never gonna feel completely comfortable gigging with this pedal without a backup. Having said that, I did buy it 2nd hand so this may be down to the previous owner keeping it in moist conditions or something. Coupled with the initial 'stiff' switching problem, I can't rate the reliability of the pedal too high.

I play mostly heavy metal, and for this style the pedal suits perfectly. I've played loads and loads of pedals, looking for the right sound and this is the ONLY one I've found that does everything I want it too. I've been playing for 9 years, and this is the first wah pedal I've ever bought (because it's the only one I've ever been impressed with enough to want to own). If it was lost or stolen, I would DEFINITELY replace it, if I could find another one.

This thing is pretty hard to set up. If you want to use one of the effects you need to set the pedal at the exact spot, which doesn't take that long but it might frustrate some people. As for turning it off the trick is to push the heel down so the toes are up then press down on the toes.

I use it through a Crate BX-100 and a cheap Johnson bass. I slap all the time and the "shaft" setting goes good with this, it gives it a laser-like sound which I think is great, but once again if the pedal is not at the exact spot it will sound like crap, either too low where you can't tell the difference between notes, or too high where it is way too noisy.

Like the guy down below said, this thing is built like a tank. If it were dropped on your head you would stop working before it would. I've dropped this thing tons of times and there's not a dent on it

I've been playing in a rock/hardcore punk band for a year now, and I am very happy I bought this. It definatley helps my playing. If it were lost or stolen I would buy it again. I love all the features, "white room" gives you a low-end, great sounding bass sound, while "voodoo" gives a more crunchier sound, and "shaft" gives you that great laser sound effect that I love. I bought it at Guitar Center during May markdown where they brought it down to $40 which is a great price.

Great playing bass pedal. Used to own one when I played bass (of course) but ended up trading it for a project guitar. Great for playing solo's, really helped me out on Anethesia.

I hate this pedal. It doesn't sound like a wah at all! I couldn't figure out how to get a decent sound out of it. It's hard to turn off, you really have to stomp on it to get it to turn on or off.

I bought this pedal so I could jam N.I.B. by Black Sabbath, the intro solo is awsome wih tons of bass wah. This pedal does sound like anything. It reminds me of a backwards bass. The notes are all jumbled together and undestiguishable.

I play hard rock, heavy metal. I wanted this pedal for jamming some awsome solos, but this thing sucks for playing. Cool to look at on stage, but don't even think about playing it.

the pedal is quiet i like the sound, its really thick and different compare to most of the wahs i have tryed, but you really cant get the sound out of it. The sweep range is wierd .the sweet spot is at the bottom of pedal right at the on and off switch. Really strange so i cant really use it much.

3 Wah settings, basically a high mediumm and a low range (the low sounds an octave lower than the high)Volume control. Both use nice old style knobs that feel and look great. A little hard to click on and off, made it harder to work with live than a conventional wah, like say a crybaby. The lights that indicate the pedal is on are on the actual pedal itself, the eyes of the snarling dogs logo. Not the best place for an indicator I would say but it looks cool.

This is a real shame. The quality of the pedal is top-notch. And the actual sound quality is stellar. The problem is it isn't USABLE! I must compliment snarling dogs for making one of the few (if only) wahs that keeps all the bass in tact, but the range is SO low that it's nearly inaudible in a live setting. One gig and I took it back. Sounds great on it's own though. Has a smooth, consistent, very playable sweep. Could be a nice studio effect used as a filter, or EQ'd properly in a mix. Too bad it's settings weren't about 1/3 of an octave higher overall.

This thing is built like a tank. I would guess it would be very reliable. uncommonly high quality switches and jacks in my opinion. However I haven't had this pedal for the long-haul...

Never tried it, but I hear it's pretty good. Supposedly they have a lot of passion for their products.. so much in fact, they get pissed or make public rebuttals if you slag them. I think that's a good thing these days, where many of the corporations simply don't care at all.

I've been playing music for nearly 20 years. I've been playing bass in some form for about 8. I own way too much gear to list, and to put up dollar figures would seem like bragging. Fact is I just love music and gear! But while I think this is an excellet piece, it falls a little sort. They should have road tested it more before release. A couple subtle inmprovements would make this thing killer.
If they release a second version with a higher range, I may give it another whirl.

this pedal sounds great but i only use the highest tone because the other when you push it to the back of the floor totaly mutes your bass
sounds great with a boss bass overdrive total sweet pedal if i was you i wouldn't waste a 100 buck on this crappy wah

dont be fooled by what the other guys say it might be heavy but this is this pedals worst qualities i had to get mine fix once the the first week i got it and i am not hard on my things the reason i had to get it fix was because it started squeaking then after that i had to get a replacement because it broke again and because of the jacks in the peadal got broken some how they could not fix it because it this pedal all the circuitry is attached to them, keep in mind this all happened in about 2 mounths so if you want a pedal that is constantly breaking this is your one so sum it all up it is like a novalty item, crap

If you want a wah for your bass, go for it!!! It may not be for everyone, but then again a wah wah bass isn't either. I gave it a 7 because the bypass is a little tough to click on and off sometimes, you really have to stop and then go into your wah foot. Controls and volume are easy to adjust to get the right sound...

It's got 3 modes, some say they only like the "Shaft" (high) wah, but I like them all. The White Room (bassy) one is VERY bassy, so it's only good for some effects, but the Voodoo (mid, still bassy) is good for more metalish stuff. Sounds good clean or distorted, depends on what you need it for. I'd recommend putting it in the front of your chain though. Not toooooooooooo noisey at all, unless you have it on with the foot way up...

Looks and FEELS increadibly solid, it weighs 6lbs!!!!!!!! For a little pedal (bigger than most though) it's heavy... Besides a few wires visable under the foot, it looks pretty damn sturdy...

I"m sure you can find a use for it if you need a bass way anyway, being that it's use isn't INCREADIBLY crucial. I love it, fun to play with and has it's applications, especially in funk and rock jams...soloing is awsome too... if you can get your distortion to do that "croaking" noise, this thing will make you shit yourself... (I'm serious)
