Price Paid: euro 110 (about $ 110...)

Ease of Use : 6
It's sufficiently easy to use, although there are some features that other simpler wahs, like CryBabys, haven't got. I'm not saying that they all are useful...

Sound Quality : 8
I play with an Hamer Slammer through the wah, a Boss Super-OD, and a Fender Deluxe. It is VERY noisy, I have to say, when it's on; but there is NO noise when I bypass the signal. The cleans are really BEAUTIFUL, I love them: with the hormone control set on the Estrogen position that'a a REALLY lovely sound, not like that of CryBaby, which aren't "wha-wha", but are "whi-whi", having a very poor effect...! I must exercise a little more on the distortion, 'cause I've been using it only for some days, but I already heard some good sounds. So, the only defect is the MUCH NOISE when it's on, but it has a really great sound! ...it's very... angry!

Reliability : No Opinion
I've been using it only for a few days, ... let me see... (...I hope!)

I can't say yet...

I play rock, rock-blues and hard rock (my band is a cover-band). I found that it's good over different style of music, in my opinion it's a very good wah!

gain controls on the side. Hard to ever find the right sound though.

Sound Quality : 4
I use a Lonestar Strat --> dyna comp --> phase 90 --> teese rmc-1 wah --> metal zone --> line-6 DL-4. The only reason it sounded good in the store was because it had such high gain that it would distort the amp a lot... this gets annoying after a while, and can be very ear splitting. I also had serious problems with feedback. THIS WAH KILLS YOUR TONE WHEN IT IS OFF... it doesn't have a true bypass, it is so bad that I stopped using it at all.

Reliability : 1
I had one with a floppy rocker, so the store gave me another one that had a bad switch, I then took that one back, and said I don't want another one of these.

I play rock mostly. this is the most annoying pedal I have ever owned. This pedal gets in the way of making music. If you are getting a wah spend the extra money and get a teese wah... just look at the reviews for them.

Actually, not that easy. It's not too hard to select the amount of gain boost you'd like, and the 'hormones' setting (estrogen or testosterone, I prefer the first for a more classic wah sound), but switching on the 'twinductor beef boost' is actually quite awkward. Getting the thing on and off is VERY difficult, and I blame a cheap-ass switch.

Sound Quality : 7
It sounds pretty damned good. It does have an INCREDIBLE amount of noise, especially at the upper reaches of the sweep, and the gunshot-like 'pop' when I turn it off and on annoys most of my bandmates and fans. The manual actually lies quite a bit about how loud the pop is, and suggests you be playing when you switch it on or off. The boost is a very nice function, and allows you to make it loud enough to compete with other effects in a chain. The true bypass is great, though.

Reliability : 2
Absolutely crap. I have a Snarling Dogs Very Tone Dog as well, and I have never had a problem with it, other than the same aforementioned loud-ass pop when switching. The treadle (the thing you put your fot on) went slack after about two good weeks of use, and requires adjustment about once a month. Currently, if the treadle does fall due to lack of tension, it will switch the pedal 'half-off', where I can just barely get a signal through it. Many is the time when I've had to reach down during a performance, lift up the treadle, and operate the switch with my thumb a few times to get it to go to bypass properly. This is not cool for a lead singer/lead guitarist to do!

Judging by their literature, I get the feeling that I might get treated like a dumbass.

Overall Rating : 5
For my alternative rock style, the overall sound they're going for is a good sound. The true bypass is cool. I've had it for a year and it's been crap for reliability from the second week on. For my strat through Boss DS-1 Distortion, Dano Daddy-O Overdrive, Fab Tone Fuzz, Arion Delay, Cool Cat Chorus, Tone Dog, and into a '90 Marshall VS 8040 combo, the sound can be very versatile, but the components and possibly design need a serious upgrade. It often gets in the way of a great performance.
