Solid Gold Sound Labs 250 Yellow mod

Easier than before the mod. Before this pedal didnt really work, the pots were dead and it sounded good only when the gain dial was in a few 'sweet spots', now, it sounds sweet at whatever setting.

This thing sounds sooo good now. My intention was to use this pedal as a clean boost/solo boost, but it sounds so nice and adds so much richness to my tone, that i am actually having trouble turning it off, i leave it on almost all the time now. It really adds a lot of depth and clearity to my sound while still giving it a bit of a rough edge whether i am playing single notes, multiple notes, or full chords. I really couldnt be happier. It sounds like 'Solid Gold'!

no problems! i would use it at a gig without a backup, although i wouldnt mind having a second one just to be able to use two at once!

Greg is awsome. You really wont find a nicer easier to work with and easier to get hold of person in the business. He truly cares about what you want and whether you are happy with the finished product. It was my first time dealing with him, after finding him online, and i will certainly consider dealing with him again in the future, in fact, I am really interested in several of his other pedals, which are very reasonably priced.

No complaints, just sheer brilliance. This used to be my primary overdrive pedal for lead, then it stoped working reliably a couple of years ago and i replaced it (the pre modded pedal) with a boss blues driver, since sending the DOD to Solid Gold Sound Labs for the mod, it is back in full use even more than ever before....Solid Gold is Solid Brilliance! If you have a DOD 250 sitting around that your not using, or if you are and you want more out of it...get the MOD done, you will not be dissapointed. That is exactly what Greg said to me and I went out on a whim and shipped him my old pedal...2 weeks later, my rig has never been better! Get it Done!

Yellow DOD250, simple to use, same as before with added Diode clipping switch, 2.1mm DC jack, Yellow LED, true bypass.

This is a unit that was on the shelf due to the fact that it didn't have the above mentionned features. It is an early 80's unit and some would argue that i shouldn't have modded a "vintage" pedal. Well i am a player, not a collecter. For the price i paid for it used i figured i would rather use it than let it sit there. I am sure this will not become as valuable as a TS808, or grey 250...I hope ;-). The clipping stage adds volume and make the pedal "breath" better. I use it mostly as a solo boost once in a while.

Seems as reliable as it used to be.

Again. Like my boss SD-1. I wouldn't buy one just for having it modded. But, if you have one lying around and don't think it will sell for 500.00 in 100 years.... This upgrade is great
