As simple as can be - two knobs (gain and level) one switch marked 'clipping' for a slightly dirtier sound. I like both, but I stick with the cleaner sound at gigs.

I owned a grey DOD Overdrive 250 back in the 70's, and sold or lost it years ago. This sounds exactly like the old one, maybe better. I'm also using it through a better amp!
I play blues, roots rock, alt country etc, using a Tele or a 335 through
a variety of BF Fender amps, usually a Deluxe Reverb, Princeton Reverb, or both. The Super 250 sounds excellent with all of my rigs. I try to run the amp at the edge of breakup and use the 250 to push it over the edge for solos. I love this pedal for its simplicity. It adds a little edge which helps solos cut through nicely.

I just got it so I'm not sure, but it appears to be well made. In any case, I always bring a backup to gigs,

I've been playing in bands for 30 years, and still gig regularly with a soul/rock/orginals band, a western swing band, and a variety of other projects. I like simple, low tech rigs and organic guitar sounds (Clapton with the Bluesbreakers, Duke Levine, Gurf Morlix, Albert King, Kenny Burrell). This pedal is right up my alley!

I wanted a Grey DOD 250. They are going for $600.00us the on Ebay! I had never played a Grey DOD so there was no way i was going to drop that kind of money in a "low-fi" OD.
Then i found Greg. He made me a Grey 250 clone, Icluded a mini switch to convert it to a Yellow 250, added a Diode clipping stage controled by another mini switch. After ordering the Super 250. I found a vintage Yellow 250. Put them side by side, and oh yeah there you go..

I play classic/hard rock been playing on and off for 22 years. If you want a good deal on an effect and not spend an arm and a leg. This is the way to go. The only thing i find is at the moment, the lettering is writen by hand with a paint pen to keep cost down... No big deal but i thought some might like to know...
