Dead nuts simple. 4 knobs - Boost: Controls the output of the boost (duh). Drive: Controls how much drive (makes good sense). Presence: Tone knob, pretty simple. Volume: guess what that does? Two foot switches, one to turn on the boost, one to turn on the drive. Doesn't get any easier than that.

This pedal rocks. I bought it based on the sound samples on the website which are killer, and they don't even do it justice. I was really looking for a pedal that could manage high gain saturation but still maintain clarity (think Van Halen). At the highest gain setting (which is frikin high) - you can still hear every string independently. And it rips like I've never heard a distortion pedal rip before. That would be enough for me to say I got what I wanted - but then I started rolling the gain back and rolling my guitars volume off - the low to medium gain sounds are just as good. The amount of life in the sound is really quite astonishing. I've twisted the knobs in every direction and can't say I've hit a bad sound yet. It's also remarkably quite even at full drive - not the usual buzzing and hissing you would expect.
For reference I am running a Gibson Les Paul Standard > SupeDuperDrive > Mesa Roadking 2 clean channel.

Just got it, so it's tough to say, but it appears to be built solid. Has to be tough to break a metal box.

Greg has been great - I e-mailed directly to him with questions and got answers right away. I got notification of shipping, which was right away. I got a courier tracking e-mail right away. Greg also followed up to make sure I got it.

I highly recommend checking this pedal out. I've seen a lot of distortion pedals over the years and most fall into to two categories: A good chunky overdriven Marshall sound like an OCD and crap. I've got a half dozen or so of the first kind and they serve their purpose, but their always a little muddy. SuperDuperDrive to the rescue. No mud, just amazing tones from low to rediculously high gain with clarity out the wazoo.

Check Out Solid Gold site for easy to read details. The four knobs are really tweakable and it comes with manual so no problem understanding.

At the moment I'm using this with a Gibson R57 Goldtop Les Paul and a Fender Blues Jr. This pedal is a distortion with a boost section so it will pick up the signal and get a bit noisy...that's a given I think with any pedal of this type. True bypass so it's dead quiet otherwise. It's a very FAT kind of drive that you can dial to a very thick distortion it gets sorta into the Rat territory but more option to tweak and get a modern edge . The Boost section can be used alone or in conjunction with drive section. This really makes this pedal open up a lot of tonal possibilities with either boosting your amps overdrive or giving it total crunch via drive. Like other Solid Gold pedals I own this blends well with other pedals as well as my amps natural overdrive.

I've gigged with these pedals and had no issues with switches or input/outputs.

Greg is quick to respond and concerned about how his product works for you. He will upgrade if you articulate what your after...he added some switches for the Formula 76 fuzz I own that made it more tweakable.

The Super Duper would be a good addition for folks like myself that need quick tonal changes playing a variety of styles. From country, blues,or metal there's something here for pushing a good amps front end into bluesbreaker boost or balls to the wall distortion.I don't want to name other companies but this is probably the more subtle and sweet sounding of pedals in this category.
