Ease of Use : 9
simple in lay out, 1 gain knob and 1 toggle. The trick is in the selection of amps used.

Sound Quality : 10
I tried out Greg's boost when I did a swap deal with him. It belonged to my other guitarist. I liked it so much, I got one for myself. I have heard the boost so far with a 335/Fender Deville rig, Strat and modified Bassman head running 6V6 tubes and Strat/ Marshall Silver Jubilee. I have owned & used rangemasters before but always wanted a high end tamed version of one. Then I saw Greg's The Boost was a highly modified Rangemsater. I wanted to try it. So far, where I liked a Rangemaster best into an already cooking Marshall, I find I like "The Boost" into the Fender rigs. The Boost pushes a bit more in the mids and really sounds great with the Fenders. It also stacks up nicely when pushing another OD like a TS pedal. The toggle selector comes in very handy between the 2 amps. I dig "THe Boost" for the Marshall, when the Marshall is already breaking up and needs a bit more shove. Think of it as the difference between single coils and humbuckers. In position two it fattens up the bottom end a bit and in position one it accentuates the highs. The Boost does color your tone and is not a clean boost pedal at all, but will really sock an amp that is already cooking.

Reliability : 9
The boxes are hand lettered but well done and the finish seems durable and looks good. I looked inside at Greg's work and it is very tidy and sturdy looking. More so then some other high $$$ hand wired pedals I have bought. Greg seems willing to work with you and is easy to deal with.Haven't played out with the pedals enough to say long term reliability but it seems like it will stand the test of time and playing. And this is a playing out pedal. Not going to do much for apartment/bedroom playing, it is meant to hit an already hot amp.

Customer Support : 9
As mentioned above, Greg is easy going and willing to please. I have done 3 transactions with him and they have all gone smoothly.

Overall Rating : 10
I am currently doing classic rock and rock originals. Loud stage volumes, 2x12 rigs. I have owned many hand wired small builder pedals, and The Boost ranks up there with some of the best of them. A good product from a good guy.
