I use the same rig as the person below, I agree that it is strange how nobody else has reviewed this pedal as I have kept it over all its hyped up competition which I have previously owned (Ibanez AD-9, Boss DM-3 etc). The best way to describe its sound is dark and warm, I don't mean dark in the analog sense but in its tone. You can get crazy spaceship sounds out of this aswell as all the standard stuff.

I can't believe that no-one has rated this pedal ever. Mind you, I have never seen another one!!
Ease of use? With delay it don't get much easier!! I don't see how any more functions could improve it either. Mix, Delay and Repeat knobs. Mix makes the repeated note louder and quieter, Delay makes the time between repeats longer and shorter and Repeat makes it repeat the same note a lot of times or a few times. If you want features you will never use then buy a Boss Digital Delay.

I am using this with a Les Paul and a Marshal TSL 100 head into a 4x12 cab. It sounds good. The dalay is warm unlike many digital delays where you get a sort of "keyboard like" note. It does what I want, I only use it to play around with because I don't really need to play with delay live. I can get a mean "Edge" from U2 sound with this and the begining to "Welcome to the Jungle" sounds cool too. I don't play with it often, it's a bit too much like cheating for me.

I have to admit, the reason I was given it was because it was broken and the guy who gave it to me bought a Marshall pedal to replace it. However, it was an easy fix and it is a hundred years old.

DO Sound City still exist?

I would definately buy one of these again if I lost it. The tonal quality is so much better than the Digital sound.
