Ease of Use
:

Fairly straight forward to use. It isn't to complicated if you spend a little time with the manual.I only gave it a seven though because while front panel editing is not neccesarily complicated it can be cumbersome and time consuming. The better option is to use Winblade the free editing software from the company. Editing with a computer is a snap. Just drag "cables" between the icons representing your effects and practically any routing or configuration is possible in no time.

This unit has 16 ins and 16 outs. All are balanced TRS connections. I use it in my guitar rack with my Line 6 POD Pro, Echo Pro , FilterPro, Boss VF-1, and Mesa/Boogie 2:Ninety. (yes, I'm a big fan of Line 6)
It basically allows me to save patches with any routing configuration I want, series, parallel, anything. It will also send burst program change messages on different MIDI channels to all of my effects. So I send it one program change message from my foot controller, and it sends a bunch of different program change messages to my effects. It will do a lot of other cool stuff too like morphing between settings, and LFO continuous controller of parameters.
For what I'm doing right now it has been a total life saver.

If it was stolen I would replace it Immediately (or as soon as I could afford to.) The fact is I'm totally dependant on it because nothing else that I've found, except for a very expensive custom Bradshaw system, will allow me to do what I can do with this unit. For me there is no going back.
