Stage Magic Pedalsnake G2

Of all of the accessories and items I have for my guitar rig I have to say this is the most fool-proof item I own. It stays connected and wire into my pedal board and when I get to my gig, the only thing I have to do is uncoil the snake and plug the "Amp End" into the appropriate jacks. I use a 4 channel base snake and run 1 line from my pedals, 1 dual line for my effects loop, 1 line for the power for my talk box, and 1 dual power line for the other 8 pedals I have. I run 4 pedals on each SnakePower adapter. I could write a review just on how incredible these are. There is no cable attached to the supply!!!!!!!! Just a female 2.1 (like BOSS) to plug my power lines into.
The most difficult thing about it (and it is really not difficult) is deciding what you need for your rig, but not to worry. There are guys at StageMagic that will help you figure it out for yourself so there is no guess work.

When I first got the PedalSnake I wanted to test their "no noise" statement. I hooked my rig up and recorded some test sound bites. The I hooked my rig up with PedalSnake and did the same thing. After listening to each recording I found no coloration or deviation from my original tone whatsoever.

I have been gigging with PedalSnake for about a year now and I can say honestly I have had no problems with it whatsoever. The base snake feels sturdy and durable in my hand and yet is surprisingly supple and easy to coil. The pigtails on either end are high quality and very heavy-duty. the plugs on the SnakePower adapters and the midi jacks for hook up to the snake and tails are very tight and dependable.

This is the category where I have been most impressed with the company and their product. A couple weeks ago I ordered so more pig tails because I have added some gear and my rig has changed. I got on the website and ordered all the pieces I needed. When they came in, I sat down to reconfigure my snake and re wire my pedal board and I noticed that one an incorrect piece had been shipped to me instead of what I ordered. I called the phone number from the website first thing the next morning and Jody himself answered the phone. When I told him what had happened he immediately knew the problem, what I needed to correct my order, and did not even charge me for the new piece! I found him to be a very genuine person and I could tell right away that he himself was a guitar player and understood exactly what it is that we need.

I was already impressed with the PedalSnake product and all the accessories that I have purchased. However, after I had the problem with my order and spoke to Jody personally, my opinion of this company and it's product is ever higher. I would recommend to any guitar player that has a pedal rig to get whatever they need to outfit themselves with a PedalSnake. My rig has undergone sever changes since I first started using PedalSnake. It has gone from a simple 1 guitar line and 1 power line configuration to a complex, multi gutiar line and multi power line configuration and several in between. Since the G2 series is expandable plug-and-play this product can adapt and evolve to fit your needs. This is a must have for guitarist. WAY TO GO!!!

Basically, this product just replaces all the cables that used to run between your amp and your pedals. Instead of a mess of cables that you have to duct tape to the floor...you now have 1 need VERY FLEXIBLE larger cable that lays flat on the floor. Its a peice of cake. Pedalsnake even has different colored ends so that you know that the green plug on one side of the pedal snake matches up with the green plug on the other side.

This is a very easy product to use. The big thing is making sure that you order the right pigtails. A call to Jody at Stage Magic will make sure that you're ordering the right product.

I have noticed NO issues with noise or anything like that. Its been very quiet. I "thought" that I had an issue at first..but it turns out it was my Visual Sounds H2O pedal making noise. After talking to Jody, he is extremely careful and detailed about making sure that there is NO noise introduced from his cable.

I've been using the pedalsnake now for about 6 months. I waited to do this review specifically for a period of time because I "questioned" the durability of the pigtails. They are pretty thin..but they are strong. The pedalsnake also comes with a velcro strip on the amp end. What this allows you to do is to tie up the amp end of the cable so that there is no weight on the pigtails from the pedalsnake hanging off the back of your amp. Very easy and very efficient.
Since I've still only used it for 6 months..I cant give it a 10. I'll give it a 9 as I believe it will hold up.

Jody is just excellant to deal with. He answered all my questions before and after the sale. He's probably alot busier now as word is getting around about this great product. But if there was a 15 to give for this....he'd get it!

I've been gigging for over 20 years. Since I started to use my effects loop a few years ago I've been very frustrated with the amount of cables I have to have run between my amp and my pedalboard. I also always had to run an electrical cord to the pedalboard to power my pedals. THe pedalsnake takes care of all that mess and replaces it with 1 nice rubber cable. I dont even have to duct tape it down it lays so flat! This thing saves me at least 1/2 hour a night (15 minutes setup, 15 minutes teardown). That doesnt seem like much...but when its 2:00 am, your dog tired after 5 hours on your feet and you want to get headed for home....you'll be happy you've got this.

Every gigging musician that uses pedals with power and effects loops should have this product. We think nothing of spending $150 on a pedal that tweaks our tone a bit.... I forget how much I spent on this but it was money well spent.
