Ease of Use : 10
Um, there's a big volume knob and a button. If you can't figure out what's going on you clearly should have stuck to playing the drums.

Sound Quality : 10
Great Sound Quality. Totally boutique hand-built pedal. True-Bypass. No coloration of the sound as this thing is built to just be a flat line unity boost across the board. Perfect for overdriving a tube amp's input stage or getting your tone through a big FX chain without adding any artifacts of its own.

Reliability : 9
Dependable and has lived through the first few gigs though I just got it about a week ago. I managed to plug in an 18V-AC power supply by accident and fried one of the input diodes but that was my fault and not the company's. Besides it took about 30secs to fix. Unless you're a moron like me I don't think you'd need a backup for it.

Customer Support : 10
You can email the guy that built the thing by hand. He lives in Indiana. Really great guy. Very friendly and answered all of my questions. Stigtronics still has no website, but I'm sure that'll change in due time.

Overall Rating : 10
I am a professional musician and play most styles of music that pay actual money. I use this as a tube-amp input driver for blues/funk whatnot. One could also use this pedal as a flat-preamp for an acoustic guitar as well I suppose.

Guitar Center sold me this thing used [i really paid 49.99] but I made out like a bandit because GC just didn't know what the heck they had there - They sold it as an "ST Boost" because the box only says "ST" on it, though the actual company is Stigtronics.

This thing easily compares to a Fulltone Fat Boost or a Seymour Duncan Boost - though it lacks the pricetag of the former and the sketchy construction of the latter. I put the Stigtronics and the Fulltone head to head and while the Fulltone does have a tone knob in its circuit which I like, if you have a good sounding amp and guitar [customized PV-Classic30 and a PRS-EG2], the variability of the Fulltone does not justify spending the extra $$ on it.
