It is very easy to use. three knobs...volume, sustain, and attack. very easy

Sound Quality : 10
awesome sound. it adds the perfect amount of bite to my sound. i use a G&L S-500 with a Line 6 Flextone III. I always use a Seymour Duncan pick-up booster, a boss turbo overdrive, morley wah, digitech whammy II, boss noise suppressor, and a line6 FM4 and the ST Compressor is the best pedal i have bought so far.

Reliability : 10
built like a rock, i only need one and im not afraid of it failing on me at all.

Simple as pie. Two knobs controlling level and sustain. It couldn't be easier than that.

Mexican Strats with Lindy Fralins into a Dunlop Cyrbaby Classic, then into a Stigtronics overdrive (unsure of model number since it's handmade), into a Boss Noise Supressor for quiet and a nice buffer for the end of the chain, into a Peavey Classic 30 with GT's and a Weber Blue Dog alnico speaker. . . If you live in the Midwest, Indiana in paricular, you should stop in Roadworthy Guitar and Amp in Bloomington to check out Mike's units. They are PERFECT. The compressor is so clean, quiet, and above all, musical sounding. I play in a funk band, and I use it most of the time for my clean sound. I tried many units, MXR's, Boss, and even a Carl Martin, and absolutely NOTHING sounds better than this pedal. It keeps the sound of the guitar without coloring it like other compressors. With the overdrive behind it, nothing sounds better. I could go on and on about the overdrive, but that's another matter. The Stigtronics compressor is a hidden gem in the glutted market of boutique pedals, and they are cheap in comparison. I can glean sounds from this pedal that range from Robben Ford to Brent Mason. It sounds like a much more expensive unit at half the price. Forget Ross, buy a Stig.

Reliability : 10
Built like a tank. He uses MXR style boxes with strong switches. I love breaking the pedals open to see what's inside. Hand-wired, and all good parts for the guts. I don't see a need for a backup thus far.

Customer Support : 10
Mike's easy to get in contact with via email. He answered questions about my overdrive last year and was very prompt, so yes, he's great to deal with.

Overall Rating : 10
I hope people start finding out about Stigtronics stuff. It's so much more player friendly than any other boutique pedals I've encountered. If you're looking for something that complements the sound of your amp/guitar setup, then I highly suggest Mike's stuff.

It's a compressor. One Button, One Diode, One In/One Out. Two knobs - Vol & Sustain which one would expect.

Sound Quality : 10
Look I cannot express this enough, for as cheap as this thing is in co$t it is a totally clean compressor that add no hiss or noise to your signal a-la a DynaComp. The compression is very musical and not annoyingly harsh at all. True bypass hand-built boutique all the way at a production quality price.

Reliability : 10
Have no reason to doubt it's construction or reliability.

Mike Stiglitz answers all questions emailed to him in a timely manner and has offered to change the pedal to my personal tastes. A very kind and helpful individual as well as a guitar player with good taste in tone.

Overall Rating : 10
I bought this for country/commercial recording after being disgusted with the MXR-Dyna/Super-Comps. This is evidently Mike's best selling pedal and with good reason - it sounds great, totally musical, and is true-bypass. Even though they don't have a website yet, the Stigtronics Compressor kicks serious derrier.
It doesn't have a control for the speed of the Comp. attack, but it sounds good as it is, though that might be a nice addition. If it went kapoof I would definitely replace it!
