setup = strat and tele into silverface MV Fender Twin via booster and Mutron phasor. superb sound quality, turn up the amp gain, turn up the booster, great lead tones, roll off the volume and it cleans up nicely. I believe it rolls off the top end a little when fully on but frankly it would squeal without that. compared to my modded EH LPB2 it is clear and quiet and doesn't pick up polic radio!! My tone has never sounded this good and i've been through a LOT of overdrives and distortions.

built like a tank, and since I use it 'on' all the time i'm not going to be stepping on and off the switch.

This pedal has one chicken head knob that makes the output louder or softer. There is also a on/off footswitch that is a little flimsy (i.e. not the beefy type you usually find on foot pedals).

This pedal boosts the volume of your pickups. The sound is clear, but not perfectly transparent (using the pedal with a strat, I noticed you lose a little brightness by engaging it). The pedal will also make a tube amp distort if the preamp tubes are already working hard (i.e. it won't do that on a non-master volume amp at low volume).

I would think this pedal would be reliable. If you look inside, you will see it is very simple: there are six fixed resistors, one variable resistor (I don't know what it does), and three capacitors. Thats it(!)

Never dealt with them.

I'm a little disappointed with this pedal. If you have a non-master volume amp that you typically play at full volume, and you want something to put your solos over the top (and distort the sound a little), then I guess I'd buy it. Otherwise, I think it accomplishes too little for what it costs.

I'm playing a 74' Les Paul Custom with a Pearly Gates on the bridge into a Marshall JTM 60. Once I have dialed in my main tone I use the booster to give my solos a lift. You certainly get a boost. It not only provides volume but adds additional breakup to my tone. This is what I have been looking for since I couldn't really get the boost I needed from my Fulltone Fulldrive.
The only thing I have found is that when punching the booster is that my tone seems to lose a little bass response. The boost seems to emphasize a more trebly sound. It's not bad, but I would sure like to have a slight bit more midrange to give the boost some more "meat".

Seems like a winner. Built solid to me. I would use it without a backup no problem.

Outstanding support. Bob helped me out PRIOR to purchasing the peadl. I emailed him and began asking questions and he was most helpful with no pressure to buy. Very respectful and informative.

I've used this about a month or so and I have found that the more I play with my initial tone, the better the booster will sound. Although, it's a one knob pedal, I find that taking a few extra minutes dialing in a tone really works wonders with the pedal. In my opinion, you shouldn't just plug and play with this. You need to work with it just a hair...but that's not a bad thing.
I would buy this again if it got stolen. I love the simplicity and the value this thing provides. It has worked great in live situations.

Very easy to use. One knob for output, and that's it! I use it to match the output of my single coiled Strat to my humbucker-equipped DeArmond. Once I begin soloing more, it will come in handy as a volume boost for that as well.

It sounds just as it should - like my existing rig, but more of it. I use an Amer.Std.Strat with Bill Lawrence pups, and a stock DeArmond M65. I play through an Egnater TOL 50 2x12. This pedal produces no noise whatsoever and can give one hell of a boost to your signal (larger and more transparent than the FatBoost that the other guitarist in my band uses)

Seems very sturdily built with a minimum of delicate components. All switches and plugs seem great. Haven't gigged with it yet, so I can't honestly give it a reliability rating. I have no concerns about its durability, however.

I exchanged several e-mails with Bob Sweet both before deciding to purchase the pedal and after placing my order. He was extremely helpful and gracious. He answered even my most detailed, inane questions about his products.

I play pretty straight-forward rock in a band that does originals and some covers (Stones, Petty, Hiatt, Dead, Midnight Oil, etc.). This pedal allows me a greater versatility in my sound. I would definitely get this again if stolen. I was considering getting the Diaz Texas Ranger before acquiring this, but it would have cost more than $100 more - no contest. This pedal works just as advertised, and I give it my highest marks.
