This is a very nice pedal that I use with Strats, and Fender and Traynor tube amps. The pedal has a very small footprint and features a boost knob and a voicing switch. It does what a simple boost pedal should do.

The pedal is very subtle and simple but is very musical. It is the only boost I've ever owned so I really can't compare it to anything. The Habenero sounds so musical that I don't plan on looking for anything else.
The pedal adds up to 26 db of boost to your signal and has a voicing switch offering normal and fat voicings. On the clean channel of your amp the boost will give you a beautiful clean rush for solos (I mostly play clean). On the gain channel of an amp, the pedal will drive your tubes harder and produces a nice volume and subtle gain boost. I do not use high output pickups but I use vintage style amps and find that the pedal will overload your input easily if your amp is already overdriven. Its best to keep the gain low on your amp to give a little dirt then punch the Habenero for greater saturation and volume. The voicing switch is nice and not heavy handed. It will not make a strat or tele sound like a les paul but it does add a little bit of lard without killing the jangle and twang of the Fender vibe. The pedal is true bypass.

Built as solid as they come. Used it for 9 months no problems. You can use an adaptor but the pedal is easy on bateries.

Got no replies to my initial e-mails. However Bob Sweet is extremly ill. Godspeed recovery pal. However, I got the pedal from the most excellent Steve's Music Center, a candyland of stomp boxes. He answered my questions.

A very nice musical pedal. My only complaints are that it seems expensive considering its' simple circuit and the name Habenero makes it seem more dramatic than what it does. Its more like a mild but tasty pepperoncini than a habenero.
Funny thing. This pedal is so small that only name-brand batteries can be used. I learned that generic store brand batteries and Ray-O-Vac budget 9-volts are larger than Duracell and Energizers. The cheap batteries don't fit in the case.
