I play stuff from Nirvana to Sublime so I need to be real clean to nasty distortion. I use a Fender Bassman 70, turn the master all the way up and put the volume on about 3 or 4 and this pedal rocks.
Reliability
:
No Opinion
Only used it on 3 live shows, but it seems like it is built real well.

I play a 68 Stratocaster and a 77 Les Paul Custom. Because the Strat is so bright and the paul so warm it is key to find a happy medium. but once you find it just turn it up and go. The pedal seems to amplify what the guitar does best. So if I was playing the strat with alot of distortion, you still can tell it is a strat. I am new to the guitar and I play in nashville (tons of real good guitar players) and those that have heard me were asking me "man, how are you getting that tone?" Makes me feel real good. If your looking for a true bypass tube distortion pedal, get the Swell G TOD (stands for guitar tube overdrive). It is expensive but isnt your tone worth it?
