The Swell G-Drive is stupidly easy to use. It is a very simple interface and you have to try really hard to get a bad sound out of it.

I play PRS and Breedlove electric guitars through an ???86 Marshall JCM800 ?? stack. I like the natural distortion of the amp, but need a little extra for solos and heavier songs. I have tried tons of different pedals for this application and all of them sucked away the low end that the amp is known for as well as being very noisy. I would have to run across the stage and stomp my old pedal at the end of the song to kill the giant roar. Using the Swell G-Drive is like adding two more channels to my amp. The sound is very real and smooth. It sounds more like an extension of the amp than a fuzz box. Most distortion pedals are comically honky in the midrange and have a nasty sizzle in the high end. This pedal gives great gain without changing your tone. It is incredibly dynamic and lets you use your volume control to change the amount of distortion just like the amp does. More importantly, it feels like an amp in the way it responds to your playing. It???s like having your amp, but more of it. I run the gain almost ?? up on my amp and even with gain 2 engaged on the G-Drive, which is fairly intense, it is very quiet. The best thing is that the lows stay tight at high gain settings and there is very good note definition. With this amp pedal and a volume knob I can go from low gain classic rock to Jake E. Lee era Ozzy tones with no noise and no honky goose-like puke green pedal midrange bump. I can???t play without it.

I am just going to start with I LOVE THIS PEDAL! My tone has never been better and I really enjoy playing guitar again. The G-Drive is very easy to use with a simple control layout.

I am a Tele and Strat player and I have always had a difficult time getting a good overdriven sound until now. This pedal is exactly what I have been looking for. Sustain with just the right amount of overdrive which in my opinion is a hard thing to acheive. SRV, Blackmore, Robbie Blunt, etc - these were the tones I had pursued with little to no success until now. I go back and forth between a Fender Dlx reverb and a Marshall 50 watt jmp head and cab and the Swell pedal kicks a** with both. The G drive is super quiet too.

I play classic rock and blues mostly and this pedal was made for me. I have been playing in bands for over 20 years now. I have tried most of the popular drive pedals like the tube screamer, rat, boss and fulltone stuff and they just did not get it done for me. The G drive takes care of biz and I would buy another if lost or stolen.

Simple and very easy to use. Because it was easy to use I could quickly change settings for different guitars and amps - a huge plus for me.

I love the this pedal - the tone and gain are so smooth. The sound I am getting is very SRV. It has gain and sustain but not much distortion like Stevie Ray. I use a Marshall head and cab and this pedal makes my amp sound like a Fender. The tone control turns down the mids but sounds real - not fake like an eq pedal would. And yes like the reviews I have read about other Swell pedals there is NO hum or hiss or any noise at all. It is totally quiet.

It feels like a quality pedal and I don't expect any problems. I read other reviews before buying and nobody reported any issues so I think I'll be okay.

I have not contacted Swell so I don't have an answer for this.

This has been my favorite pedal since I bought it because it sounds so good and is easy to work with. The G-Drive really adds a lot of versatility to my setup and I just love the tone I get with it. I used to play in clubs, bars, etc but now I'm married and play at home, jam with friends or at church. Yes I would buy another if needed.
