T-Rex Michael Angelo Batio Overdrive.
I play in a signed death Metal band and I had all my pedal board sorted.
Until.......I head my Dean Artist rep say "Hey your coming to our Dean VIP show you can use Michael Angelos gear"
Good job I did.
I now use this as my main overdrive pedal.
It has 3 knobs, It cant be simpler.

Sound Quality : 10
It has a true bypass, has never made any other sound than I need it too.
It is one of the only overdrive's I have instantly got a sound I like and would use.
I use a Randall RMT 100 with a tread plate, blackface and Ultra XL modules and Dean guitars.
As I said before it has such a smooth tone.

Reliability : No Opinion
Only just bought it.
But that is why I bought it........
Reliability and built quality .

Customer Support : 10
Have not had to deal with customer support.
I have spoke by email to someone from T-Rex and every email I have sent, he has instantly replied, so if was to go on something then that would be an excellent start.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing since my early teens and have had nearly every overdrive pedal going and this is far the best yet.
I use a Randall RMT 100 with a tread plate, blackface and Ultra XL modules.
I use Dean guitars and it has such a smooth tone even with the gain full on.
I play Death Metal and this pedal has really made my higher notes sing and given nice depth to the lower notes.
Have had it 2 weeks but it has made a differnce already.
If stolen would def buy another.

This is a simple pedal with only 3-knobs on it (Gain, Tone & Level). I could not get a bad or unusable tone out of it. It took me 2 minutes to find the solo tone I was after.

Sound Quality : 9
True bypass, noise free, tube screamer type of overdrive. This is not a distortion or metal pedal despite the endorsement of M.A.B. . This is a great pedal for an application where you already "Like" your tone and want to push it into the "Love" area.

I must say that I bought this pedal already knowing what it really did. Mark Tremonti uses it for solos only & it provides endless "Sustain". That's why I bought it (for the sustain). I feel it can push a rock amp into the metal area of tone or a clean amp into AC30 sounds.

It is quiet & the tone is smooth & it makes your guitar sing. It does add distortion & thickens up an already distorted tone to sonic bliss.

I'm actually using this with a digital Line-6 Vetta head & now I get all the harmonics I could never ever really get.

I have a Bogner Alchemist on the way & will submitt another review after I test it with that. Maybe a tube amp will produce a little different result.

Reliability : 8
It looks very strong so far, but time will tell.

Customer Support : 8
No opinion, but this seems like a good honest company.

Overall Rating : 9
I'm a hige Tremonti fan & now I even like M.A.B. (thanks Mark)due to this pedal. This is the best tube screamer type of pedal I've ever had. It's very musical & it will surprise allot of people if they get the chane to test one. You have to know what you are buying and what you need 1st. This is not a high gain pedal & one that is meant to be used with your drive channel & not alone. I feel this pedal is designed for sustaining lead tone, but it can be used for other purposes as well. So far I very happy. The price just went down so try one.

The pedal is simple to operate, and there isn't a bad sound in it. There is no manual, but one isn't needed.

Sound Quality : 10
I mostly play with low-output humbuckers and a Marshall-style amp. I find that the pedal is excellent with my setup. It's a very quiet unit even with the gain control maxed. There isn't a ton of gain on tap, but what is there is very usable. The manufacturer refers to the model as a distortion unit, but it's really not. It is a tone-shaping overdrive that works to give you a little more singing quality from your amp. Your amp still needs to work to provide serious crunch.

There is a very mild mid hump that isn't as nasally as a typical Tube Screamer. (It's less pronounced and has a higher resonant peak.) Sustain can be almost infinite at times, and the sound is quite airy with the tone knob turned up. There is obviously some compression going on, but it doesn't sound squashed. The eq and compression qualities are subtle, but they can be magical for producing a smooth, singing solo. The warmth of the lower registers is also a plus, meaning that this could be an "always on" effect.

Reliability : 8
The pedal is a quality design built in a high-grade aluminum box. There is a battery access panel that is very convenient; however, as with all things plastic, it is somewhat flimsy and could get broken or lost. The footswitch is the nicest-feeling true bypass type I've ever encountered.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Don't know.

Overall Rating : 8
This pedal pretty basic in terms of the range of sounds it can produce, but it sure sounds good! I have a hard time believing that any rock guitarist couldn't find a use for it. I spent a long time looking for something that could improve sustain without sucking the life out of my sound. This box does exactly that while maintaining the "bell-like" timbre inherent in a good low-output neck pickup.

I think the "metal" name is a bit unfortunate in that this pedal could appeal to a wider audience. In fact, it will disappoint anybody who's not already happy with the distortion levels of their amp or who wants Boogie-style rhythm sound to come from a box. It's mostly a tone shaper, and the clipping it produces is very organic and warm. It's well worth the price of entry and a definite keeper for me.

Sound is pretty good. I haven't played out with it yet. Note: This is a mild overdrive. This is not a shred metal pedal. The overdrive, however, is very smooth. It seems to work better with the neck pickup. I bought the pedal because it looked cool and considering who was endorsing it.

Sound Quality : 8
Sound quality is good and smooth. Mild overdrive.

Reliability : No Opinion
Seems dependable.

I hear T-Rex stands behind their products.

Overall Rating : 8
I play all styles of music. I would not consider this a very hard rocking overdrive/distortion. If you are looking for a high gain pedal, look elsewhere. I will be firing up the MAB overdrive this weekend.
