It's very easy to understand the controls if you've ever messed with an overdrive. It is pretty intuitive what each knob does it just takes some time to mess with. I love tweaking knobs and finding tones and though I've had the pedal for over a year I still mess with it. The only reason I give it a 9 is not b/c the controls are hard to use, just that they are very interactive and I wouldn't take it out to a gig the day I bought it without spending some time tinkering.

I play a HSS strat and tele both with Rio Grande pickups, and a D'Angelico EX-DC with Kent Armstrong humbuckers for jazz. The voice switch is very useful for going between guitars. They say to use it with single coils or humbuckers respectively but I think sounds good in either position with hums or singles, just depends on the tone you are going for. Definitely fattens the single coils. I play through a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe that I've tweaked as good as its gonna get, not crazy about it though and this pedal only helps (although I don't believe in buying pedals to compensate for a crappy amp or crappy playing). The coolest thing about this pedal is the mix knob. The only other overdrive pedal that does that is the Voodoo Labs Sparkle Drive, which I also like and given the lower price difference the S Drive wins sometimes (I have a friend that plays an AC-30 and prefers his Sparkle Drive to my Moeller). With the mix knob you can keep the single coil spanky clean sound without getting masked by too much grind (think Mr. Brightside intro, or the Edge on so many songs). Its gorgeous with delay b/c your repeats sparkle instead of getting muddy. The boost is really nice and transparent too. I have a Fulltone Fat-Boost that I use at the end of my chain for thickening up a lead and I use this at the front to bring out a rhythm part if I'm starting a song or featured in a breakdown section. Still use my Fulldrive just not nearly as much. I love it!

I play a little of everything (blues, jazz, rock, country, r+b) but my main gig application for this is modern church worship. Its PERFECT for that. With the mix knob I can dial in just the right amount of drive so that the little old ladies are not offended by too much grind but I can still keep it in there for the kids. The only reason I'm giving it a 9 is the price...ouch! Nothing else will do for me so it was justifiable but that doesn't mean my wife understands :)

I use one pedal; {and that's one too many}; the T-Rex Moeller is it; plugged into a "Blues Jr.", it's all one needs.
BTW: If you play various bars with different amps. this is the pedal to get.
I would buy another if I needed it replaced.
It's a bit pricey ....the only downside to this unit.

violin (yamaha ev-205), dunlop jhs2 fuzz, dunlop volume, roland jc60
Moeller is for nice colouring, a little crunch, more volume, more balls
with most overdrive/distortion pedals you cannot control volume anymore with your bow. the moeller reacts fine.

I've tried a lot of pedals. most of them, of course, work best with guitar.
for the violin the t-rex alberta was good too, but the moeller has a boost-button that also works independently. I think this is the best and most subtle overdrive pedal for violin.

This unit is a lovely sweet mint green square pedal that has gain, level, tone, mix and boost knobs plus a fat switch and 2 footswitches, one for overdrive and one for boost. There is a 9v boss type input, a guitar in and out and a 9v battery compartment on the back. The unit is fairly easy to use. The tone control basically wipes treble off by turning anti-clockwise. The level is a volume control and will boost the level on your amp considerably. The boost control puts even more volume on (about 20db!). The gain adds distortion and the mix blends that distortion into your dry signal.

The unit oozes class. The overdrive is a nice smooth grit that adds up to distotion at 10. Mix some dry signal back in using the mix pot and you can get lovely classy overdrives or break up cleans whilst retaining the integrity and clarity of your amp and guitar. This works extremely well at stage volumes. I have used it with a Fender Telesonic and Soldano MV combo and it sounded really good. The boost function is very impressive nice and quiet and loads of volume on tap. Impressive.

This unit is a very smart looking pro piece of gear. It has a lovely vintage bark to it and can drive your amp into fuzz if necessary it will not do heavy metal. For allother rock and pop and blues applications it is excellent. The sound and build quality is exceptional.I absolutely love the mint green finish and green light perfect! I tested it against other Zvex and Visual Sound pedals and it was easily the smoothest, best and most versatile unit.

Fairly straight forward overdrive unit with a mix knob plus a boost section that can be added with or without the overdrive. Its like 2 pedals really. I got it because sometimes when we gig we use other peoples backline and I like the idea of turning a single channel clean amp into a 4 channel one with this little device. I score it 9 because it is by no means a one knob wonder and does need a bit of fiddling to get right (but that is part of the charm isn;t it all you knob fiddlers out there!)

Wonderful break up vintage crunch sound and transparent boost. The boost will also goose your valve front end and make your input overdrive if you max it out. I have tried the Moller with a Marsall DSL 100 and a Boogie F30 and it is just a really cool break up with or without as much of the generic amp tone as you want (just mix more direct signal in using the Mollers mix knob). Very versatile. Not as much gain as I have been used to, think AC/DC rathe than Iron Maiden. The sound quality is however exceptional

Lots of knobs, but it's really quite easy. The only thing different than most ODs is the mix knob, which allows you to blend in your clean tone. Also, the Voice button changes the mid-voicing from flat to mid-hump.

The Moller is the Fulltone Fulldrive killer. I've owned a lot of ODs and the Moller is one of the most flexible drives I've ever played. It's great to have an independent clean boost, it really makes this a two-in-one pedal rather than just having a switch that only works when the drive is on. The voice and mix controls are what set the Moller apart. Amps are so picky with overdrive pedals, but the Moller's controls can adapt it to any rig. I looked a long time for something to use with my Vox AC30, and the Moller is great with voice in the flat position, but with my Fender Princeton, it works just as well with the mids added in.

Seems well built. Has the smaller footswitches that I don't know how long they last for, but it's my main OD and I'm not concerned about it breaking down.

If you play with different amps, the Moller is probably what you've been looking for. The flexibility that the controls offer is unmatched by anything I've played. This won't get you into really heavy distortion, but is a great rhythm pedal and the boost is one of the best I've heard.

Easy to use stomp box, not much to say about. Easy to figure out how the box works.

The great thing about this box is that it is very flexible and offers lots of possibilities to get the right sound. From clean boosts to saturated solo's. The knob to mix 'dry' and 'wet' is great for the purpose. I use it with a Fender strat deluxe and an Epiphone Les Paul, both over a Fender Blues Deluxe. Since the LP may sound a litle muddy the little black knob to switch EQ and add or remove the middle tones does it's work pretty good. Very handy when you switch guitars during a gig. The booster works very good as well. I have been looking for a combined distortion/booster pedal for somen time and have been thinking about a Fulltone but I got the feeling the booster wasn't to good. This one's very good, it leaves your tone untouched.

I think the quality is ok. But I got problems with the DC connection. For some reason the daisy chain I use don't quite fit. It does work but it tends to fall out. With every move of the box or in/output cable the jack of the daisy chain falls out of the DC connection and I'm without power. I now inserted a battery as well as a fall back, just in case the powerjack falls out. I got a number of daisy chains here and I got problems with all of them. Don't no how to solve that. During a gig I have to fasten the jack with duct tape tight to the pedal to prevent it from falling out.

I think when your looking for a way to avoid much stompboxes but still want to have all types of tones available this is a good buy. Allthough when you buy it new it's not that cheap, here it's 200 Euro's for a new one. Lot of money for a distortion pedal.
It's flexible, easy to use and give great tones. Up till now I brought a lot of pedals to gigs and rehearsals, with the Moller I can travel light. Since I haven't heard anyone complaining about the DC connection I gues I just have bad luck with this one.

5 knobs, 1 toggle, 2 foot switches. One might assume that due to the number of tweakables on this pedal that it's difficult to dial in a great tone, but I found that within minutes of using it, that I thoroughly understood what each option did, and how I could accurately shape the overdrive/distortion tone I wanted.

There's an incredible array of control with the range of distortion (ranging from just breaking up, to a fuzzy tone, to a kickass rockin' roll tone). I found the pedal itself to be very transparent (of course due to the nature of the mix knob, you can add as much of your natural tone into the mix as you like).
The pedal responds WONDERFULLY to the attack and style of play. This to me is a huge selling feature, as too often distortion pedals may nail that 'tube overdriven' tone, but rarely do they respond to playing the way that an overdriven tube amp would.
Of particular note is how GREAT the boost channel is. It does a GREAT job of boosting your signal, and doesn't require the other channel to be engaged. It does all of this while barely colouring your tone...I find this a HUGE selling feature, as it really makes for 2 pedals in 1.

I play everything from Barenaked Ladies, to Zep, to the Stones, to ambiant churchy music... I had initially purchased this pedal for play with my trio (smaller pedal board setup; tele -> tuner -> vox wah -> moller -> pharoah boost -> DD-5 -> 65' reverb deluxe reissue), but I'm so impressed with its depth and versatility that I may use it with other projects.
I highly suggest you check it out and see if it fits for you... Just do yourself a favour; take your time with it...tweak it for your setup...think logically about how all the different knobs will effect your tone, and have fun. If you play it in a store and are not impressed; ask to do a 24 hour trial on your own gear... I assure you it's well worth it.

Five knobs. Gain, tone, level, mix and boost. And a voice button. They all do what they are supposed to do.
Tweak around and you will find your spots.
It's a bloody stompbox allright? If you can't work 'em you should think about drumming instead.

I have been looking for a "clean" sound with a lot of balls and punch since i play a lot of rythm. My dream was to be able to try the Menatone Fishfactory since I hear the Red Snapper section is very transparent but since I live in Sweden the Menatone pedals are not available.
The idea with the T-Rex Moeller is that you dial in an overdrive you like and then blend it with your clean signal using the mix control. This works absolutely great in my opinion. Mostly I set the thing up so that I get an almost clean sound with some sparkle around the edges. If I want more dirt I just turn the mix control clockwise 'till I'm satisfied.
I feel that this pedal is very true to my tone and sounds really transparent. What it does is add a lot of punch to the sound and that makes it a real treat to play your "almost clean" sounds.
The sound is very natural and the strings really comes through.
The overdrive sound is a classic ts-808 thing I believe. Probably a similar thing to the T-Rex Alberta pedal which is supposed to be very Tubescreamer-like. I have not played that much with the gain maxed out since I have eother pedals to do the real dirty work but the Moeller gives a solid, natural, tubelike classic overdrive. If you want to play Slipknot stuff this pedal will be a waste of money.
This pedal is not true bypass wich I think is a shame but it isn't a problem unless you turn the mix control all the way down so you only let the clean signal through. The clean signal loses high end. On the other hand, if you wanna play totaly clean you should just turn the pedal of.
However I feel that the guys at T-Rex really should have put true bypass on this. I mean, why wouldn't you? Two points of for that.
The boost function is really clean to my ears and as far as I can hear it just raises the volume.
The voice button alters the tone a little bit and I guess it will be useful when switching between humbuckers and single coils.
I have played this pedal a 90's telecaster with Seymore Duncan Quarter Pounders using a '63 Reissue Fender Vibroverd and a Peavey Delta Blues. Absolutely great sounds all around.
I also put the T-Rex Moeller in front of a Visual Sound Jekyll & Hyde and the two pedals sounded great together.

It seems well built and it will definitely stay on my pedalboard, at least until I get a chance to try the Red Snapper.
My only issue is that I think the controls feels a little plastic and I think they turn to easily. It would be easy to accidentaly change the sound.
The footswitches seems solid though and the enclosure looks great. The paintjob is fine and it almost makes the pedal look like it's made of plastic, which it isn't of course.

I play rock influenced by Steve Earle, Tom Petty, Chris Isaak and others. This pedal is absolutely perfect for me in terms of sound. I have been playing for 14 years and have gone through my share of OD's. I currently own the Moeller, VS Jekyll& Hyde, Rat (don't like) and two EH LPB-2 boosters wich you really should try if you get the chance. Also have delays, Wahs and tremolo but I'm not big on modulation exept for a good tremolo wich I could not live without.
Guitars are Fender Telecaster, Gretsch Duo-Jet and a Martin acoustic.
Amps: '63 Reissue Fender Vibroverb, Peavey Classic 30 and Peavey Delta Blues.
I bought this pedal because of the mix control I guess. I really like the way you can blend the sounds to get it as clean or dirty as you wish without it sounding as "you have a distortion pedal on" if you know what I mean.
It gets eight because of the true bypass issue and the cheap feel of the knobs.
I'm intresyed in getting to know more about the Red Snapper or trade thoughts with other Moeller owners so please feel free to send me an e-mail.
