I literally played it for five seconds and unplugged and purchase it. the sound of this pedal is so odd in great ways. on my setup (small semi-hollow to a Gibby-amp)I can feel my tone burning "in flames" (good band too). I actually run a low volume clean channel simultaneously which IMO tightens the pedal overall. I actually hate fuzz effects and still do. what is odd is that with high output pickups the fuzz to me is unbearable but i use mini-humbuckers and seudo-P-90's for my tone and makes them sound SO THICK!!! to be critical there are positions on the fretboard that it doesn't do well; like on the low E power chords in the 12th position can't taste the honey in the mud.

I have never looked at T-Rex becuase of there high prices. After looking at all the distortion pedals this boutique store had nothing seemed to wow me; distortion pedals do NOT do well in Gibson amps! My friend brought me this and it was Amazing! I was trying to find a tasteful church tone distortion which sounds like an oxymoron. I have it set to a sort of stadium rock DOD setting that is full and clear. this pedal won't give you that chunky metal tone which i love but my gigs don't call for it. Its not prefect but than again only God is....

First played this using a Strat plugged into a Mesa Boogie MkII. I normally love a 'clean' Strat sound, so I only wanted a subtle overdrive tone. This pedal gives you good scope to still get a variety of great sounds whilst still keeping the overall 'fuzz' at low levels. Hitting the 'Boost' switch of course will give you a really fat sound if you are after that.
This unit replaces my faithful old Boss DS-1, which is really a 'toy' pedal when put up against the sound quality of the Mudhoney.

It's only a week old, and I haven't gigged with it as yet, but it looks like it could take a few knocks. I am generally fairly carefuly with my gear - the abovementioned Boss DS-1 I have had for about 25 years and I think the Mudhoney would last the same distance.

I play mainly Rock 'n' Roll and Blues. My main guitar is an Ibanez Artist, but I also occasionally play a Les Paul or a Strat. I haven't yet tried this pedal with the Ibanez, but I cannot wait to do so very soon.
I love the natural clean tone of my Mesa Boogie MkII, but when I play a Santana number and I want that warm, fuzzy tone, this pedal can deliver it. I have also experimented with a few AC/DC riffs, and this pedal comes close, and I will probably need to play with it a bit more to achieve that 'angry' crunch tone.
Overall, if you are looking for a rich overdrive tone, I think this pedal fits the bill.

2. No unwanted noise. I have not run it at a very high level yet.

I have been playing guitar for 29 years and have tried a lot of equipment. In my oppinion it is better to have one pedal that sounds great mixed with the natural valve sounds of the amp.
If lost or stolen I would definitely buy another
I compared to boss, and quite a few other pedals, but this is the one that gave me all I wanted.
I wish it had a footswitch for the higher gain and a true natural bypass when switched off.

Just 'caus ethe pedal is easy to use doesn't mean I like the sound. I've tried long and hard to fall in love with the Mudhoney, but the sound is just to middly for me. It really sounds exactly like a boosted tubescreamer. There is very little bass to the sound, and the top end goes from dark to ice picky too easily. Maybe the fault is mine for buying the wrong product, but I want something more transparent.

I bought this pedal for my second pedal board. I wanted to replace the Toadworks Death Rattle on that board, which I use in conjunction with my Keeley BD2. On my main board are an OCD, a Reezafratzitz and an original TS808. I've also gone through a V Twin, a Box of Rock, a Guyatone tube driven overdrive and a MIJ DS1 in my time.
I will admit that you can get a nice low gain, warm sound from the Mudhoney, and also a great fat fuzzy tone at high gain. What I'm failing to get out of it are any transparent Marshally tones in the mid ground without that real mid hump.
Sorry - I stil love T Rex as a company and product line, but this pedal is not for me.

I've been searching for a good distortion for a long time and have been let down ALOT (im very picky)until i got this pedal.
It didnt sounds like cheesy processed metal distortion. It wasnt mushy and break apart when you played chords. It has bass behind it and still can cut through. Its a good all around distortion
No noise, exept when the pedal is off you can hear faint distortion sounds behind the clean sounds of the guitar, it's not loud.

Man, this is the only pedal that gives me everything!!
I play in hardrock band, in a funk band and some heavy stonnerrock/doom violence and a gig or rehearsal is never the same without this pedal.
I play on a strat and a modded Ibanez and plug them in a fender bassman silverface70. But also on an cheaper crate or marshall valvestate this thing brings me satisfaction!!
You can use this as a heavy distortion pedal, but also as a tubescreamer and it's never noisy.

Let me start by saying that I'm a foot pedal virgin, this is my first one. I checked out reviews and sound fragments for weeks on the internet and narrowed my choice down to about 4 different foot pedals before choosing this one, mainly because this is the one they had in the shop and also the other ones on my list (Zvex - box of rock, Damage control - womanizer, Robert Keeley - Fuzz head) were much more expensive, this was 150 euro's, the next on the list, the Fuzz head was 200. The Mudhoney is very easy to get good sounds from, as long as you remember why you bought this pedal in the first place and don't complain afterwards "It's not producing the sound I want". I mean, how hard can something be with three knobs and a boost button.
Sound Quality
:

My setup: I have an Ibanez ART500 (no reviews of this guitar yet, I'll try and write one) and a VOX AC15CC1 (whafedale speaker), that's it, nothing has been modified. The mudhoney is noiseless for me. The VOX only omits a very very low hum and adding the mudhoney adds no extra noise whatsoever.
The sound is glorious, it's every bit the same as how you think the name Mudhoney should sound, thick, creamy but smooooooth, with gain turned to zero it adds a tiny bit of grit to the VOX sound, at three "I've got those blues", especially the neck pickup. At 12 and full on gain you get from nice 70's rock to AC/DC and more.
Onto the boost, this is Fuzz territory and also sounds great. The VOX maintains it's string clarity even through the fuzz. Remember what I said earlier, don't forget why you bought this pedal, if you want a fuzz pedal get a good fuzz pedal, but if you can live with the great fuzz that this has then you get blues/rock/fuzz in 1 pedal.
I can't really get the sound of my favourite artist with this but then I can't even play stuff from my favourite artist, anyway that's not why I bought it. I bought it for blues and rock and the Mudhoney as our american friends quite rightly say, kicks ***.

I only started playing guitar in January 2008, practice pretty much everyday for at least 2 hours after work and try and play any type of music that comes my way, depending on my mood and the 'homework' I get from my teacher. This pedal is a great purchase adding much needed distortion to the VOX without having to turn the VOX up to neighbour maddening loudness. If stolen or lost I'd probably try and buy something else because I like change not because this is a bad pedal.
Overall it's a very sexy looking pedal, lovely colour, smooth turning chicken head knobs and glorious sound. If there was one thing I think I would prefer on this pedal is that the boost was built into stomp button just like the on and off button but this is because I only play at home. I can imagine if gigging, that whilst banging away on stage you don't want to have the added difficulty of having to choose the correct button, you just want to to whack your foot down, so my wanting an extra button is not a criticism, just something I'd like to save me having to bend down.

Gain, tone, level, and a boost switch. I really dig the stomp switch on it. It's solid, and it switches on and off smoother. Plastic battery door. It's nearly impossible to dial a bad sound out of this. Very easy to get the sound you want.
I wish they'd change the boost switch to another stomp switch. Makes sense, right, T-Rex?

I run a Strat and an LP into a Fender and Laney tube amps. I'm in a poppy bluesy rock type of band, and this pedal is fantastic. I've been using a Keeley modified Sparkle Drive. As far as tube screamers go, there was nothing better than the Sparkle Drive for me. However, like many Screamers, it had that exaggerated mid hump. I do love the screamer hump, but I wanted an OD pedal that is more rounded. Mudhoney does just that. Well, and much more. The boost button can be interesting. I dig how it changes the characteristic a little bit, and love the fuzziness to the sound with it on. However, this is not a fuzz pedal. You can get a nice fuzzy od/distortion sound out of it, but don't expect a great fuzz tone, 'cause this is not a fuzz pedal. My favorite sound is Gain on 9 o'clock, level at 12 o'clock, tone on 2 o'clock, and with boost on. That gives me a VERY juicy tone for both the strat and the LP. That gives me a nice jazzy tone with slight OD, that's ready to ROAR with hard picking. I'm not ready to toss out the Sparkle Drive just yet, but I can see this pedal is going to get a whole lot more use. Bass response is amazing!

For blues, jazz, and poppy rock, this is it. I really like the transparency of this pedal, and how sensitive it is to your right hand. If you have a tube amp, and run this in front of it, it's just a bliss. I love the bass response, and clarity throughout the entire bandwidth. I love how broad the tone is compared to the tube screamer type pedals. I've only owned this pedal for about 12 hours, and I've already discovered so many different sounds out of it, and I can't wait to explore even more. If a pedal can inspire you write, I'm all for it.

'64 Les Paul Jr through a Fender 'The Twin' amp, and an Ampeg Superjet.
The overdrive portion of the Mudhoney has the most lush, rich, musical-sounding overdrive I have ever heard from a pedal, period. Just a great usable sound suitable for classic rock sounds with the gain anywhere from 10 o'clock all the way to 5 o'clock. Below 10 o'clock it serves more as a clean boost, but even at lower levels (and maybe more so at lower levels) it has a great shimmer of dirt that really comes out as you play harder. Very sensitive and very expressive.
The 'fuzz' portion of this pedal is unbelievable. This is my main distorted sound for live. The overdrive portion is for recording (more clarity for layering guitar parts). The fuzz is very versatile in that the gain range is very wide allowing you to start out with a slight overlap of gain level from where the overdrive leaves off. Once you get the gain past 3 o'clock some definite Sabbath fuzz starts to kick in. As indicated by the name this pedal has a thick warm sound, and I have not been able to pull a biting 'shredder' sound out of it (to my complete joy!). I have played many a distortion pedal and would compare this pedal (very favorably) to the Fulltone Full Drive 2. I have been using this pedal for about 3 years now, and have had many compliments on my guitar tone.
All pedals are wildly overpriced, but you get what you pay for. Saw one on ebay for 125 today. Make no mistake, this IS a boutique pedal and is head and shoulders above anything you'll pick up at a Guitarget.

Overall the Mudhoney is the distortion pedal for me. Great tone, very expressive. Think of that Mesa/Boogie/POD/Modeling grind that everyone and their mom is slapping down for scream-o mountain dew commercial crap - this pedal is the opposite of that. Organic. The only reason this pedal isn't a '10' is the lack of a metal footswitch to control the fuzz / overdrive channels. Obviously I love this pedal, but try a Fulltone Full Drive 2 if you don't dig the T-Rex. Would buy another. This is my secret weapon.

Very straightforward pedal, distortion, volume, and tone knobs, boost switch. The black chickenheads look very cool on the creamy orange case (my girlfriend might know the proper name of that color, it certainly isn't orange the way oranges are - sweet looking pedal!)
But the fact that the tone knob is very close to the pushbutton combined with its elongated shape unfortunately carries the risk of accidentally changing the setting when stomping on it in a hurry, so I had to ruin the good looks by fixing the button with a strip of duct tape.
Otherwise, everything as it should be.

Very versatile. Without the boost switch engaged, it is a warm, fat OD that can also be used to boost an already distorted amp. In this setting I use it as a solo boost for my 2-channel 50W Soldano head.
With the boost switch engaged, the effect is way more radical. Turn the distortion knob past midnight and you get thick, soupy, gooey fuzz. Used on the neck humbucker of my guitar I can get very extreme sounds on low chords that are more reminiscent of an old analog synth than a guitar - sawtooth distortion, though I might be a tad out of my depth here.
On neck PU leads, you can get sweet, dark, raspy, cello-like tones that just never stop, while on the neck PU the sound becomes just ... radiant ... but still no less sweet. Makes me enjoy the long notes very much.
Currently I'm fiddling with it in front of a one-channel 1x10 solid-state combo that was built by a highly competent amateur radio nerd and that sounds inexplicably awesome for its size. I'm hunting for sounds to use in electronic music and getting very good initial results. This pedal has lots of useful, creative uses.
What this pedal does not do is sound bright and aggressive. You get a good punch out of it when it's in the boost setting, but the distortion mode is a highly relaxed affair. Consequently, some players might find it not "quick" or responsive enough for their needs.

Quibble: The mechanism for opening the battery compartment is very stiff. Theroetically you'd need kinda long, very tough fingernails to open it. Mine are too short, so I use a screwdriver, which was bound to go wrong eventually. Now the latch of the battery compartment has a fine crack, and I'm powering the thing with a 9V adapter anyway.
Functionally there is no reason to assume this pedal could ever fail me. I always gig without a backup.

Sound Quality

The sound is warm and middy. If you're looking for a metal distortion, or a a full of treble distortion, look elsewhere. To me it sounds more like a fuzz anyway. I use a 92 fender telecaster and a 2004 gibson les paul classic, to a marshall 1962 bluesbreaker amp. I have a few other effects, but the mudhoney dosen't need any compression (it has an amazing sustain, especially with the les paul) or EQ, so I don't use it with any other pedal than delay (T-Rex Replica).
The non boosted channel is great. Warm and smooth overdrive. The boost channel is much more impressing though. It's really fat, and kinda heavy sounding. The power chords on that pedal is nothing short of amazing, though they don't sound like typical metal power chords at all - they are more full and they have more presence than the typical boss MT-2.
Great for leads too, like I said before - warm and fat.
What's amazing about this pedal is that no matter how you set the knobs, the sound will still be as sweet as honey... no metal here.

I give it a 9 for 2 reasons:
-No true bypass.
-The boost function is not a footswitch, which really sucks because you'll have trouble using it on stage as both a overdrive and a fuzz. But it's fine with me - it is my main high gain pedal, I have a different overdrive.

This thing has gotta be the most versatile overdrive pedal I've ever used. You can dial in just about any kind of overdrive sound from a warm jazz to hard-rock, the common theme being a very warm tone. I use a Fender strat and a Gibson Les Paul through a class-A tube amp. The Non-Boost channel is very bluesy and does a great impresssion of an overdriven tube amp. This thing is also the quitest overdrive pedal I've played or tested. Only gripe is the tone knob isn't much use below 12 o'clock, sound gets too muffled.

I love the way the pedal doesn't color your tone and the way it lets the notes of chords ring and harmonize without getting muddy even at high gain settings. I compared this to the Vox Cooltron series and a bunch of other stuff. The Vox pedals have a tube in the pedal and are about the same price but you'd need them all to match the versatility of this puppy.

Very compattible with single cole...I'm using Fender EJ and AM deluxe 50th Anniversay. Mudhoney produces a warm or brown sound which is good for a bright and sweet sound from Fender. However, Mudhoney is verry versatile pedal. Using it with hum will make you satisfied !
I can use the volume control on my guitar for a gain control. Sound like fuzz when turn the gain knob to maximum.
Less noise with true by pass !
Love it a lot.
Try it and you will love it.

I have used the Mudhoney with my guitar (a standard american Fender strat from 1995, with two Seymour Duncan pickups and a T-Bear humbucker) on a relative cheap transister amp (forgot the name) and Ashdown Peacemaker 20. The Mudhoney sounds excellent on both amps, wether you're playing hard rock or blues.

Piece of cake to use, easy to dial in at gigs ... and the boost mode makes for some killer Hendrix style riffing. Great box ... turn down your volume and you get a nice crunch tone for rhythm work, turn you guitar volume full up for scorching sustaining leads. Really, this is about the best fuzz/distortion unit made if you know how to use it.

Best investment I have made in a long time. I use this on Hendrix tunes and modern grunge stuff, but I primarilly use it for wicked lead runs with my whammy bar. It hangs onto notes and still has lots of presence to cut through the mix. Wicked cool pedal, but if you don't have good chops you may just make lots of noise with it. I played the original fuzz boxes back in the sixties, and this unit is fantastic compared to the Muffs and Super Fuzzes of that period. Tone to the bone too....

I use a Fender highway strat into fender blues junior. I use the mudhoney as my main gained rythem sound, then for lead tones i use my black finger compressor, and that does the job.
If you turn the gain knob all the way up its sounds like a fuzz pedal. If you leave in the midgain section (as i do) its sound like an nice cranked old tube amps own distion. It has a very creamy sound. I must say it work best as a lead pedal for me.

i usualy play older rock/blues, like Hendrix, zeppelin, AC/DC, clapton and such.
i also play a lot of stuff like guns'n'roses, scorpions, RHCP and other.
This is almost any rock musician. If you play Death metal or other extremly hard rock, this does not do the trick. it wish it the posibily to press the boost knob using your foot, thats a flaw.
If you like the thick, crunchy sound of vintage overdrive, then this is a good choise!

The mudoney is a verry simple stompbox. There is a tone, gain and volume control. The thing about this peddel is that the volume and gain control kinda communicate with eachother. If you put the volume all the way up the gain is much more raw and dirty then when you sett it at 10:00. But nothing complicated.
It's as easy as the controls on your guitar.

I am using a japanese Stratocaster and a marshall DFX 30.
Thats about is for now, verry simple. So you can really hear what the mudhoney can really do.
First of with the boost turned of. It's is perfect for playing things like Little wing, Villanova junction, Hear my train commin'(acoustic version) by Jimi Hendrix and Yellow Ledbetter by Pear Jam. It is a real warm and kind overdrive. The sound is of a real high quality.
The best thing is when you hit the strings hard, you get a short boost in gain and visa versa. And the volume control on your guitar is transformed in a gain control. So when you turn you guitar volume down you loos allot of gain, wich is great. Because so you have more controle over what your doing.
Turn it up and you have got more gain. Its's is truly the best vintage overdrive there is. Especially for its price.
Now with boost turned on. It has become a fuzz/distortion, and a great one att that. The power chords are really classic, none of that metal crap. But stil as heavy as you whant it. It is perfect for blues and hard rock stuff. The best to describe it is saying it is a tube distortion simmulation.
And it's one of the most noisless pedell out there. It doesn't make a peep.
Maybey it's me, but they could have put a bit more gain in there. Its a little to nice for my taste. It is a really kind peddel.
But other than that it is great. But if you whant a really nasty one for metal or industriel music look else were, because this is the Mona Lisa of distortions.
If you just whant to get a really good distortion and a verr verry good overdrive don't hesitate and just get one!

Overall it is a great peddal. It takes you back to the good old days. But it is modern enough to for this day and age. If you play Blues, Rock or even Jazz this is a must have. And if you whant to use allot of delays, reverbs, flangers, phasers and that kind of stuff this a great peddel to combined it with. Because it is so well tuned you still get a high quality sound.
Especially if you don't really know what kind of music you whant to play this is THE peddal to buy, because it has got a verry versatile tone. Just a must have.

Three controls: Gain, Tone, Level
Two buttons: Bypass, Boost
How hard can it be?
Still one has to be careful with the settings of the controls, their range is quite extreme. For example I never set my gain further than 9 o'clock, for "boost on" as well as for "boost off". Also you'll damage your ears when you turn the level up too far.
Next to that I don't understand why the boost function can only be switched by hand. I modified my mudhoney so I can control the boost function with my feet.

I've been using this pedal for a year now and I LOVE IT! I have quite a range of pedals and more than one boost/overdrive/fuzz/distortion pedals (fuzz factory, super duper, alberta), but I use this one the most.
This pedal sounds amazing with boost on and off. Boost off results in warm and subtle distortion. Everything I play sounds cool and raw, but with lots of clarity and presence, very transparant. Boost on turns this pedal into a fuzz pedal. Not a extreme fuzz like the fuzz factory, but more an old-fashion fuzz. Warm, singing tones and endless sustain.
Like I said I modified my boost switch to be footswitchable. Now my mudhoney has the same functionality as a Fulldrive and it sounds even better!

I play mostly a new-wave kind of music-style, but I love my distorted sound to be old-fashioned. Bluesy overdrive and Classic Fuzz. This pedal can do both for me. The extreme ranges of the controls however make this pedal very versatile.
If it were stolen or lost I would definitely buy and modify it again.
I love the sound of it, it competes easily with more expensive distortion and fuzz pedals like fulltone and is a whole lot better than pedals of boss or electro harmonix. Still I don't understand why they made that stupid boost switch. When you turn it into a footswitch this pedals doubles in value.

Well, it has got the usual three knobs (Gain, Level and Tone) - how hard can it be? Additionally there is a "Boost" button which makes the controlled distortion turn into a creaming fuzz monster. Though, one interesting aspect of The T-Rex Mudhoney is it's flexibility and the "organic" feel to it. It's quite easy to get great sounds from the box but it can, to a certain degree, be a bit demanding on the player in the the sense that it's enormously dynamic and reacts to picking style.
Sound Quality
:
8
There is off course no way to be objective in this matter, but to me it sounds very good in comparison with other distortion boxes: transparent, dynamic and very flexible. The hiss or noice (other than the noice it's supposed to make) presents itself only slightly with when all knobs are cranked. It covers most of the sounds from light "tubelike" overdrive to massive, heavily compressed fuzz mayhem. It cleans up (when lowering guitar wolume) fairy good. I wouldn't use it for metal distortion but for sounds in the range of rock, blues, jazz and pop it will certainly work. The tone knob has a good sweep from thick warm sounds to a sharp and edgy twang. Actually, in certain it can sound a bit like an overdriven old Blackface Fender Bassman (for you vintage amp maniacs, I said: "a bit").
I haven't tried it with solid-state amps, but it will work wonders with any tube amp. I'll give it an 8 because there are still better sounding overdrive pedals, fatter distortion boxes and wilder fuzz effects, but this one covers them all with goos results.
Reliability
:
9
Can you depend on it? Yes. Would you use it on a gig without a backup? Yes. I havn't had mine for a year yet so what problems the future might present to this little beast is still uncertain. But it looks and feels very solid and I'm confident it will outlive me.

Guitars used: Fender Custom Shop Classic Player Strat, Gibson LP standard 92 model W/ Duncans.
Amps used:
2001 Matchless HC30 / ESD 2x12 Mismathed Celestions
2000 Marshall Heavily Modded 1987X / 2x12 Marshall Cabinet W/ Greenbacks.
1995 Mesa Boogie DC5 1x12 W/ 1x12 Ext. Cab. W/ Vintage 30's
Other Pedals:
Fulltone Clyde Deluxe, Fulltone Dist. Pro, Maxon AD900, Fulltone Choralflange, Matchless HotBox(origional Non Script SN 0029).
The first time I plugged this thing into my board I was a little disappointed, I thought ok its just a overderive, very good, but hey
I was looking for a little more. Then Oh No push in the Boost Button
and Ba Boom! What a musical pedal, it makes my HC30 sing so sweetly, I tweaked the controls Gain 6, Tone 7-1/2, Output about 4, and Boost pushed in. This setting really brings out the vocal qualities of single notes (DC30), and even though I have some other great Distortion Devices, I have found a place for this in my rig. I use the HotBox for Medium Gain sounds and Rythym Riffs, the Fulltone Dist. Pro for Cruchy Chord work, and now the Mud Honey For Super Sustain Solos. In fact that is what I would recomend this for,
Although at the extreme settings it can get very ugly (in a good way), Especially on my Mesa, and yet the Marshall sound soars, but these extreme settings actually seem to sound best with the amps maxed out. Its almost like Matching up the Gain on the Pedal to the
relative ouput level of the amp. Not as Dynamic as say the Dist. Pro, but this pedal has the best Vocal like Tone of any transistor distortion I have ever played. The Chord definition is not as good
as the Fulltone, but on single notes 'FORGET ABOUT IT' The Tones that this pedal is capable of are definitely dependant on your amp. Right
now I don't have any small amps ( I will never use anything without tubes period), but I can say that with the equipment that I have it does a very good job. It definitely makes my DC5 Grunt,
and Crunch, imagine a Dual Recto on steriods. The same exact settings through my Plexi 50 (OE Transfromer, Carbon Resistors, NOS Tubes),it pretty much nails the Thinlizzy Jailbreak Sound. But through the Matchless it is beyond words. As most people would agree the C30 is
is a great amp (in my opinion one of the best Class A's ever made),
yet it can be very picky when it comes to Distorion Pedals. The Mud Honey really speaks through this amp in such a smooth vocal way, I don't know how it can get any better.
Quite a few pedals have come and gone for me and now I am
again adding to my pedal boards (Fulltone, Maxon Vintage, T-Rex). I like this pedal so much that I am ordering some of the other T-Rex Pedals as soon as I am done here.

Being a Design Engineer, I had to take this apart to see what Kind
of Quality there is inside. I have to say Very Nice, Beutiful Circuit Boards. Through Hole soldered, very well designed. Dam near Fulltone
in Build Quality, The Std. by what all other pedals can and should be
measured against. The only things that I ever break are strings and
vacume tubes, so no I don't think that I need a back-up, but pedals
can break and it is not a bad idea.

Made in Denmark, In case you are wondering about this.
The Danes Don't make Rockets or Cars. What they do make,
the make very well. Dynaudio, TC Electronic, Scan Speak,
and now T-Rex Effects.
I purchased mine through Rudy's Music in NYC last week
when I was there on vacition, but a word to the wise.
Check out MUSICTOYZ.COM They are now selling them and
they have the best prices. They have the largest selection
of uptown pedals anywhere. I have been in dozens of music
stores and Nobdy has the Selection of REAL PEDALS that they do.
As far as T-Rex goes, I sent them an E-Mail 2 Days ago, and they
returned it this Morning, pretty good, 2 year warranty and for a
pedal thats very good! Hopfully I won't need it...

that it is different things to different amps. As a Rythym Pedal

I'm using an Ibanez RG570EX through a Crate Blue Voo Doo 60 watt valve head and a JCM900 4x12 marshall cab with celestions.
I first heard a review of ths pedal on a CD that came with a total guitar mag, I wanted it so bad since then but I didn't know where to get it. If you want one, contact Midas Distribution as they got hold of one for me, but it was the last one they had as I think they've stoped distributing these pedals.
The pedal sounds great from creamy overdrive to biting distortion. I find it absoloutly amazing to play blues through as well as hard rock. this pedal really kicks ass and also has amazing vintage looks, you wouldn't think it's a modern pedal. When you push the Boost button in this thing kicks in a wall of fuzz and filth sounds which work really well. I generally use this pedal with the boost button pushed in and gain around 12 o'clock and tone all the way up. This gives me a lovely rich distortion for hard rock. Take away the boost and it has an excelent bluesy tube sound, amazing Danish technology at it's best.
