T.C. Reverb pedal. It's real easy to use. You don't really need the manual.

I don't like the sounds of this pedal. As soon as i played the first note through it i knew it was wack. It sounds as if they began making a delay pedal then half way through they realized they could shorten the rate of delay and call it a reverb pedal. That's all it is, real fast delay. They butter it up a bit so it sounds smoother than delay, but this just makes it muddy.
Tried it a fender strat, roland microcube. It made the strat sound small and far away.
Also tried it with a Ibanez bass and Behringer amp (don't buy behringer bass amps). same result except it sounded terribly muddy with the bass.

It's a tank, but i won't use it.
I had an old peavey deltafx processor that had a cathedral reverb on it that was all you ever needed.

I've been playing for 15 years. I'm a reverb freak. I can tell you that you don't have to spend $250 to get a good reverb. Look elsewhere. You don't need 20 different reverbs either. Just one real good one is all you need. try a couple pedals and if if it has one good one, then you're good to go.

The controls are straightforward & well laid out. Patches can be easily edited. Unlike the TC nova delay pedal, there's only 1 preset. The mix control adds too much reverb too fast; ie if this was numbered from 1 -> 10 most useable sounds are dialed in between 1-3. After that there's too much 'verb for most of the presets. The pedal uses very bright LED's all over it's surface which I found distracting in a dark environment, making adjacent more dimly lit pedals harder to see.

The sound quality is OK but not fantastic. Sounds like a Behringer virtualizer to me (a freebie from a friend). IMHO it doesn't sound much like a high end reverb or acoustic space at all. There's a "color" control which is basically a tone control. Set at the maximum "digital" setting, the wet 'verb sounds like a cascade of sharp sound needles mixed together. It just sounds OK when the color is at the "analog" setting. From what I heard, this control doesn't emulate real analog variation (think tape echo or BBD), it just attenuates high frequencies. I also own a Line 6 Verbzilla which at half the price sounds much more pleasing to my ears & is much more fun to use. I suspect that TC just ported 'lite' versions of their studio 'verbs to this pedal. I'll bet when Line 6 developed their Verbzilla they based their models on what sounds best to a guitarist. TC probably stuffed some pre-existing studio algorithms into this box and told the marketing boys to emphasize the "studio quality". Given TC's expemplary reputation I was expecting beautiful "lush crystaline" reverbs from this pedal but that just wasn't my experience. Maybe I should try it though studio monitors rather than guitar speakers; I'm using a Crate Powerblock & a custom made 1 x 12 cab. The reverbs were OK but had no character. I wound up returning this pedal after using it almost every nite for 3-4 weeks.

I been playing 60's stuff, blues and electronica for 15 years. This pedal just didn't do it for me. I found the reverbs somewhat boring, digital-sounding and only useful when minimally applied. I bought this thinking that is would be a significant upgrade from my Line 6 Verbzilla. Despite much knob twiddling & tweaking & thinking "damn, what's up? this is a TC pedal, it must be fantastic, maybe I haven't tweaked the best sound out of it yet, it costs twice as much as my Line Verbzilla; why don't I enjoy it more? - I ended up returning the unit.

THIS IS NOT A TRUE BYPASS pedal. The AD/DA converter runs all the time, whether the pedal is switched on or off. Don't believe me? Then unplug the power and see if your signal can be heard. It shuts the signal off. A true hard bypass design would not. I CHECKED WITH TC, AND ALTHOUGH SOME OF THEIR TECHS TELL PEOPLE IT'S DRY SIGNAL IS BUFFERED AND MIXED WITH THE DIGITAL, THAT'S INCORRECT. TC researched this and informed me that the dry analog signal is NOT mixed with the digital signal. When you have more than one AD/DA converter on all the time, you can forget about getting good tone. Try the Eventide (they have true hard bypass.) Or, try the T-Rex Room-Mate - it has both features.

A pro pedal should have hard bypass and mix the guitar signal with the digital in a buffer.

very unreliable i have swapped and tried 3 brand new pedals now(in the middle of a tour) as each one had the same problem...ie the manual preset automatically changes when it wants to leaving you with a sound that you really didn't want to hear... i wish it worked because it is a beautiful sounding pedal.

Easy and intuitive use. I don't give 10 cause in the manual is not clear where the user presets are stored and if this presets overwrite the original ones.

Gibson ES 125- Carl Martin pre-TC Nova- Acoustic Image with R.E. cabinet.
This reverb is a real step ahead for a pedal and not only for a pedal. Sound transparent, natural, warm and quiet. Better than a Lexicon LXP1. I would have preferred to have an input gain control rather than the "input calibration" and also an output level knob.

My first Nova is died after a week of use, all the controls and the lights worked but there was no output. I hope that this is not a recurrent problem.

I've been playing Jazz from 25 years. I love this pedal; after testing some others product like Electro Harmonix or non-pcm Lexicon I think that I have found what I was looking for.

This is a true "plug and play" effects device. If you want to edit the reverb, all you have to do is grab the knobs and tweak it to your taste. Then get ready to be impressed by the results.

I'm a reverb junkie. I use it live on my Chapman Stick and on my studio recordings. I've used many by Lexicon, Alesis, and TC. I downsized my amp from a full SWR Super Redhead stack to a tiny but awesome Acoustic Image Contra. It only made sense to ditch the big rackmounted reverbs and try to find a good sounding reverb pedal. All others paled in comparison to this baby. I was truly amazed by the high-end sound coming from this tiny thing. The reverbs are lush, crystalline, and have a nice smooth feel to them. Fast phrases seem to retain their clarity and not "mush out". I used to have an M1 by TC, and I'm sure the reverbs here are close cousins, but I can't help but think that these are even better. The Dymamix feature is also extremely useful; this will probably be a staple for TC in the future.

Biggest bang for the buck on a single-tasking device I've ever seen. The other companies have some catching up to do. I searched long and hard for a pedal that would enable me to let go of my rack-mounted Lexicon LXP15II, and finally found the champ in this little guy.

I just got the unit a couple of hours ago. This unit is very user freindly out of the box, so you can get familiar with all the settings. Like it says in the manual "STUDIO QUALITY REVERB". I finisj my search for a reverb pedal and I have tried EH Holy Grail series. Thi pedal is super quite. It has a manual mode and a preset mode where you can store a reverb mode you like. The manual is very readable and I did enjoy reading it. Very straight forward, and I did like the fact that is does not have the usual try this settinings. So it gives you the ability to experiment yourself and find the type you like by tweeking the unit.

The tone stays the same, no change I did ran it in line with the guitar and in the effect loop of my amplifier, which I think is the best, and they recomended to do it using the effect loop. The cool part of it is that it is a stereo unit so two amps can be set with the unit. I use a Marshall JTM30 all tube combo and a LINE 6 DUOVERB all solid state, and it is a tehrill to know it works with both. So far I have tried a Guyatone Tube Echo, Fulltone GT-500/69/70 pedals, Retro-Sonic Chorus and several Keeley modified pedals.

It looks very well buildt and heavy. It is compact (5 x 5.5 inches) so it can be accomodated in any pedal board. I will use in both live and studio recording or home playing.

I play Blues, Classic Rock, and spiritua music. I have been playing since I was 15 and I am now 40 +... I do play at the local church now. I do own PRS, Gibson, Fender guitars, they all work beautifully with the reverb, depends on the type of pickup and amp used. One thing is that you need to calibrate the unit once you power it up, it is in the manual a very simple step to do, but you will be amazed of the result. I am going to try their ND-1 Nova dealy as well. Thwey look like a perfect match for the studio and live situation.
