TC Electronic System 6000

if you can run a standard effects unit you can run this baby.
but the system 6000 is much faster to use espically with the icon
remote.. all the perameters right in front of you.. im running the latest software ver. 3.00

this is the best sounding reverb unit ive ever used. it blew my
m3000,eventide orville,pcm91 out the door. ive never used the lexicon 969l so i cant compare it.. although i will say i prefere tc reverb
over lexicon because its so transparent and if you want the modulations you just dial them in.. theres no noise coming out of this
unit..id also like to say im useing this for stereo mastering not
surround.. you can use some of the surround alorithms for stereo if you want...the MD3 algorithm is awesome. way better than my finalizer 96k..on a final note im tracking and mastering the best quality
ive ever done whith this unit..ps im only useing the unit digital
but im planing on getting those 24/96 ad/da coverters those have a computer chip in them...

i mainly do really mellow acoustic or really hard metal...
ive been recording for 16 years now...
if it was lost or stolen i would buy another...
i love the reverbs i hate spending more money on licence codes
i think more should come with the unit..........
this unit is well worth the cash i payed for it. i love useing it

I'm using version 2.50, waiting for 3.0 which add more Reverb/Delay presets. Unit has a great collection of presets, very easy to use. Icon remote is solid and powerful.

The reverb sounds much warmer than M5000 even on M5000 presets (S6000 has some of "the best" M5000 presets). I owned M5000 before so I know exactly the difference in sound quality...I load the same preset which I used on M5000 in S6000 and I just can't believe my ears, the sound is so much better...I guess it's the digital converter makes the difference.

I got problem with the Icon remote, but TC's tech guys was very helpful, they exchange another Icon and also offered me to buy optional software at discount price. No problem with Main frame so far.

Technical support guys are friendly and helpful but TC needs to check with operators (the one who answer the phone from customers), these ladies are not very friendly and kinda stuck-up.

S6000 fit best in my music, Oriental style, but I think it will fit with all kind of styles.

Been playing that unit for 1 year, I also own TC2290 which is also great.

It will hurt alot if I lost it, it's a 8K unit ! but Yes, I will buy it again.

I love eveything about it, my favorite feature 2CH reverb, I don't buy it for surround eventhought, surround mode is a main feature of the unit

I did compare it with Lexicon 480L and I'm glad that I bought this unit...beside great sounding reverb, I can also do mastering, surround sound 5.1 for my son's movies...with optional GML's EQ, for me it will be a very valueable tool for mastering.

I wish TC will give user at least MD3 for free and lower price for additional softwares, the unit will cost as much as 15-16K for all optional softwares, Man, I paid 8K already.
