Ease of Use : 5
I give it a 5 but that's really a 9 once you figure out how you're gonna use it. It is two seperate units, both with 2 chorus and flange modes, then you have stereo sweep sync and stereo mode options. A good sound appears quickly but for example the "intensity" pot has a wet/dry function in one mode and a regeneration function in another. If you like to know all the permutations that might take a week, but a fun week.

Sound Quality : 9
Mmm...if you get me. Once you have a feel for how it works it becomes obvious what is great about these choruses and flanges, totally organic and hitting the sweet spot very easily. I use mine for studio processing and have settled with one channel for chorus and the other for flange, but both offer stereo outputs. Activating them both at once gets kinda messy, but with more gentle settings can give a fat and wide spread. My 1210 makes a very cool sound when the pots are being turned, but none of the settings can replicate this pot-turning sound, I don't know if thats the same for other units, but a pleasant quirk nonetheless.

Reliability : 7
Pretty solid. Easy to disassemble, I noticed mine was producing a rather loud transformer buzz, it just needed a screw tightening on the transformer. After 20 years of processing I can forgive that.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Not an issue.

Overall Rating : 8
If you find yourself on the hunt for the holy grail of chorus or flange, you need to check this unit out. It may not be the grail itself but its hard to complain about what it does. There is no power switch anywhere, I would have liked one on the front. I'd definitely get another one if I could find one. The layout isn't immediately intuitive and you *have* to read the manual, but that's because TC took a flexible approach to this unit and it gets the thumbs up from me.

Kind of tricky for me. But since I`m really a stompbox or straight in to the amp kind of guy, I guess most people wouldn`t have any troubles with it.

Sound Quality : 10
The very best. It`s the classic high end analog chorus sound. It`s not a Tri-Chorus,but then, what else is?
I also have a analogman Chorus Clone just to get different, warmer kind of chorus.
The only bad thing I could say about it,is that it might be to clean for some people

Reliability : 10
It`s like 20 years old. Lived a life on the road and has never given any trouble. I think that pretty much says it all.

Never had the need for it.

I`m mostly a blues and Hendrix/SRV-style rock player. But I do enjoy doing the pop thing once in a while, and that`s where this box comes in. I`ve played for 15 years and have had a bunch different pedals and rack gear.(I did have that crazy Steve Vai/Lukather thing going on for a while. My main amp is a Guytron GT-100,which sounds fantastic with this unit.(Well, all my other amps do to so,......) And apart from maybe the old Tri-Chorus this is probably the best rack mountable stere chorus you can get.

Quite easy. The analog dials help dial the parameters to your needs quite easily. Manual is so-so. You won't really need it but I wish TC put a little more effort into their manuals.

Sound Quality : 10
I am running the TC 1210 in the effects loop of my Mesa Heartbreaker heads. Sounds really good on clean and dirty. Obviously the effect level all the way up on a clean channel sounds best. On the dirty channel you will need to turn the effects level down, so if you need the chorus on both channels you will need to find a happy medium. I love it because I was looking for a great analog chorus and this one is the best. Adds a little noise but nothing to worry about. All analog devices do that. Definitely a warmer fatter chorus than even the highest quality digital ones.

Reliability : 10
Very reliable. I would love to have a backup but they are so darn expensive that it's not feasible.

Customer Support : 9
TC is responsive but not always helpful, in my opinion. I tend to know more about their products than they do.

Overall Rating : No Opinion
I play mostly hard rock. Rush and Zeppelin, etc. Not really into thrash metal but this chorus is the best. I would definitely buy another if it didn't break the bank.

Easy to get great chorus/flanger sounds.. Spacial expander needs to run in stereo to get full benefit from the unit..
Simple to use (turn the knobs to desired settings)- all little experimentation is all it takes..

Sound Quality : 10
I use my 1210 in a rack system - some of my other gear is Yamaha delay, Lexicon PCM 60 reverb, dbx 160x compressor, Rane SM26B splitter/mixer, ADA MP-1 preamp... and some other gear.
It's clean as anything.. obviously if you crank up the headroom level, it will distort the signal very little..
It has strong a effect but you can vary the amount by blending the signal.
My amp is an old Mesa Boogie Mk. II - no eq.. one input, fx loop, reverb..
If you like the chorus used by Lukather/Landau, then this is a unit to buy.. expensive, but worth it..

Reliability : 10
Totally dependable - can't afford to have a backup though!!!

Customer Support : 10
Never used the company for service, but I did contact them regarding manuals..(My unit was second-hand)
They forwarded me a Word doc of the manual..
Friendly to deal with (so far)

Overall Rating : 10
I play mainly rock, but cover most other styles of music.
Playing for 16 years.. too much other gear to list!!
If it was stolen, I'd die.. I have been trying to get one of these units in Australia for about 8 years and had never seen them.. then this one just popped up out of the blue!!
I just love the chorus on this unit - I don't use flanging much anymore..
I wish it was midi capable so you could have patches that were easily changed - currently, it's a set and forget feature, although you can use the bypass to switch it on or off..
