I was about to sell my EBS Multidrive ....but
i was A/B ing it with the Vintage Bass Distortion for a long time
through various settings.
Conclusion.
The Vintage Bass Distortion is the clearer far more brute Distortion and can produce Fuzz like sounds.
The Distortion mixed with the original signal via the blend knob
allways sounds more separated than with the EBS Multidrive.

The EBS allways gets muddy because of the high cut but is very good
for a more homogenic driven tube sound.
so i will keep it.

Both pedals can produce subtle to heavy distortions but the TC has far more range and is more versatile.

if you want a brute guitarplayers nightmare.. get the TC.
if you want tubelike subtle grunge get the EBS.

but if i had to choose only one pedal i would take the TC.

hey it??s a pedal.

Sound Quality : 9
Basses:
Old Westone Jazz Bass with fender Custom Shop PU??s
Daion Power Mark XX
Kramer DMZ 5000

Amplification:
Glockenklang Heart Rock
Eden XLT 2x10
Eden XLT 1x15

i have used the Boss ODB3 and then the EBS Multidrive but i was never
really satisfied with the results.

The TC Bass Distortion does it for me.
from subtle Dirt to brute wallshaking Distortion.
Your Guitarplayer will hate you.

The Problem with the EBS Multidrive is that the sound never really cuts through.it sounds good as long the band is not playing.
The EBS cuts the highend, what i hate totally.

TC Vintage Bass Dist.
you can blend the Distorted sound with the Normal sound via the Blend knob and colour the sound to your needs with the colour knob.
The Pedal is very quit.
The Pedal adds although a slight compression wich makes your bass sing.
I tested the Pedal only on Stage because thats where i decide if its good or not.
Maybe there are better Pedals out there but for 99 EUROs it was midpriced with a highprice sound.

i dont think that a double priced boutiqe pedal could satisfy me more.
You cant go wrong with this.

Reliability : No Opinion

Customer Support : No Opinion
