It takes a while to figure out just HOW this thing is going to work for YOU, what effect/effects to use this "Dynamic Looper" through, how much "sensitivity" to use, and where to "release". If you GET IT, then look out!!!!!!!!!!!!
There are 2 knobs; sensetivity ( @ what level of attack/volume effect is triggered) & release (how long, or when effect is turned off/on, depending on setting, based on volume), both are push pull, sens. bypasses dynamic mode, turning it into a plain looper, release knob pulled out reverses dynamics!!!!!!!! think about it...in normal mode, heavy pick attack turns effect on. Pull release knob out and heavy pick attack turns effect off! Imagine the possibilities??????
There is an on/off footswitch, and in/out/send/return jacks.

I give this a ten because it's silent when not in use, and CREATES a dynamic wonderland of sounds, if only you can imagine what you want to use it for!
Here's what I've done so far;
I loop a z-vex fuzz factory (you can link more than one effect together!) w/about med. settings (12:00).
Imagine playing a clean bluesy solo, then hitting a hard power cord with some wicked fuzz mixing in! Or one of my favorites is hitting a hard distorted fuzzy slide down the kneck!!!Get the point?
You can turn it on/off manually, or adjust things with your guitar's volume knob!

I just love this thing! Definitely one of my favorite pedals!!!
I got a heck of a deal on this thing. Meridian music's guitar department was going out of business in INDY, IN and I stole it for 50 bucks! I think it's normally $200-$250 and I would of NEVER paid that much for a non-effects effects pedal. But now that I know what it does, I'd have to replace it, kevin forbid...Dag-nabit!
