Three knobs: echo level, feedback and delay time. In/out, 9 volt input and battery. Simple as that (guess it's a Boss clone).
Probably an 80's model, bashed up a bit but sounds great. Grey/silver box, retro style.
A beaut!

Amazing analog delay. You can get beautiful slapback echo (rockabillyyyyyy) and some longer delays, although I'd say it is best for short delays, max. 500 ms.
Great for old style slapback, although you get a nasty hiss and shhhhhh/glichhhhhh sounds at maximum settings. Sounds great with a compressor and mild distortion, not so sure about other hi gain pedals.
I'm using it with a microamp/LPB booster, compressor, TS808 clone and a treble booster with a VOX AC15. This is definitely a vintage/retro delay pedal.
Not giving it a 10 because of the nasty sounds at maximum settings, but there are some sweet spots in there (delay time at 3ish, echo at 9/10 and feedback between 3 and 6 for and old school slapback echo ?? l?? Scotty Moore). Move the delay time up to 3/4 and any setting in between is wonderful for lo-fi delays, some the Edge or pop.
If you want a cheap and warm sounding analog delay, this is it (if you can find one!).

Built like a tank. Copy of an old boss pedal, so it should last a while. Definitely gig without a backup, if you can tame the harsh sounds... go for it!

F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C value. Period.
Traded this for a DIY compressor+microamp which cost about 40 euro so it was a bargain.
I play blues, rock'n'roll, country and some jazz. A very sweet pedal. Played through a VOX AC15 and a couple of Teles or Danelectros.

Three knobs. Can't get any easier than that. Gotta watch out when you're tweaking that "feedback" knob, though, or you'll exactly that: feedback.

I mostly play this with my Strat through my Carvin combo amp, along with a whole wack of other stompboxes. It always sounds great. The delay time is pretty limited, especially compared to some of the new digital toys that can give you almost infinite delays, but for what it does, it is great. You can get a nice slap-back sound out of it, and also play in spacier realms. Nice. Very clean-sounding. As others have noted, you can get some freaky noises by messing about with the feedback knob. I have used this in the studio, but if you intend to do this live, be VERY careful, because it can get painfully loud and hard to control (and I guess that's why it's so damn fun).

Pretty dependable, for such an old piece of gear that gets stomped on so often. I had to get the battery terminal rewired once, but I now power it with an adapter and have had no problems since. I have gigged with it many times without a back-up (although I also have a Dan-Echo pedal in my live rig).

Have never dealt with the company. It's a very old pedal that I bought used. I don't think they even make it anymore, so I doubt contacting the company would be very helpful if something went awry.

I play spacey, atmospheric rock, and I'm glad I own this pedal, because it complements my style well. I wouldn't necessarily have it as my only delay (I also own an echo pedal and a reverse delay), but if I lost my Tokai I would try to find another one.

The sound quality is pretty good for such an ancient pedal. It isn't very noisy, or puts out a very warm delay. I use it in a number of different situations, and it is my favorite delay to use, even on vocals. Very warm and natural feeling delay, good for ambient sounding stuff.

I play a variety of styles, but I am predominantly a experimrntal rock player. I have been playing for about 10 years, and have a variety of other delays that sound much much less natural than this delay. If I lost it, I don't know what I would do since it is very rare. It really has a really wild feedback, that sounds like a radiohead type effect (think the end of Kharma Police). I would suggest buying it to anyone who actually saw one for sale....

Three knobs. Easy to use apart from that the delay time pot goes backwards (!).

I bought this more or less as a substite for a more credible analog delay. Of course you can still use it as a bread-and-butter delay (pretty short delay time though) but it shines when you get it to feedback internally and lower the delay time. Unreal sounding!

I don't think I'll use this one to often but then again I try to use as few pedals as possible. It's of great value for a solo spot or some way out sonic excursions.

This wierd little bugger is fairly easy to use. As a delay virgin, I had pretty much no problem getting some cool noises out of it. It has three knobs, Delay time, Feedback (speed), and echo level.

This thing can get some messed up noises. With the feedback right up and if you rapidly turn the time knob you can get wicked radio transister pitch shifting noises. Really cool for a knob-twister like myself. It distorts a bit if you play hard going through the front of the amp, and if you play through the effects loop it is crystal clear on clean but if you have the distortion on it is hardley noticable. I play through an Epiphone del rey and a Fender Princeton, and it's a really quiet set-up and this thing adds the tiniest little insignificant hiss. One more thing, if you set it just right and play at the right speed it can be a harmonizer as well!

I can depend on this pedal for anything. It is indesructable. It's the adapter I have to worry about. I would use it without a backup for a gig. I don't have a backup but if I did I still wouldn't care.

I got it from Cash Converters so they wouldn't give a crap about it anyways as long as they got rid of it.

This thing rules. I am going for a Smashing Pumpkins, really liquid type guitar tone and this thing really helps. I use a wah, and a flanger as well and I feel as though this pedal really compliments them both. If it was stolen I'd be out of luck cuz i'd never find another but I would be ruined. This is definetly the best twenty bucks i've ever spent.
