The usual Drive Volume and Tone controls. Couldn't really be more simple.

My three favourite guitars are a PRS CE22. An Epiphone Dot (Copy of a Gibson 335) I installed genuine Gibson '57 Burstbuckers. A Farida Les Paul copy which has Tonerider Rebel 90 single coil p/ups. I play these through a Fender Twin Reverb which gives a very clean sound.
No discernable noise, or "POPS" when the pedal is switched either on or off.
A great sound. With the Drive at about "Quarter to" I get the "Driven Valve sound" For chord work a fraction more brings in a sweet over drive. For riffs I turn te drive to "12:00", and this is a perfect Blues type O/D.

So far - so good. No probles, does what i want each time I switch it in. I always use without a back up.

My band play anything from 70's Disco/Dance to rock, and anything in between. Usually have to change sounds radically between numbers.
The American O/D gives the sound/s I want, and I'm very happy with it. If it were stolen, I'd buy another.

No brain surgery..., drive, volume and tone.
Goes from just overdrive to lead crunch.

Used with Stratocaster, Telecaster and Melody Maker (reissue). All with excellent result. Amps used are Fender Super Champ and H&K Dual 84. Very quiet in use and the true bypass makes no pop or any other unwanted noise when used.
Easy to dial in the "just breaking up" tone which I wanted.
Very transparent and sensitive to how hard you hit the strings and amount of gain used. Cleans up nicely when the volume rolls back.
Works very well with compressor without adding noise.

No idea but seems to be sturdy. Only future will tell.

I play 60's to recent pop/rock stuff and this suits me very well.
Been playing a mere 40 years (!). I would definitively get another if stolen/lost.
I tried other pedals (Fulltone Full-Drive 2 and Visual Sound Route 66 American Overdrive) but this is really the sound I've been searching for.
I cuold wish for a tad more bottom end in the Tone setting but it's not a big deal.
