Ease of Use : 10

Because each Trailer Trash pedal board is custom wired ease of use should not be an issue if the board design lay out is well thought out in advance. I sent pictures to James Olsen who worked with me to make sure signal flow and ease of use issues were addressed before mounting pedals to the board. Jame's experience with board layouts really helps in the overall design, especially the distribution of DC and AC to each pedal.

Sound Quality : 10

The board is very quiet. The signal flow using George L cables creates no additional loss of high end presence to the signal. The board is common grounded at the end of the signal flow which helps keep AC hum to a minimum. All the effects on my board are either true bypass or have a buffer to push the signal, this combined with the George L cables really keeps signal loss to a minimum.

Reliability : 10

The board is built for the touring guitarist. All pedals are attached with industrial velcro (Dual Lock) which works very well keeping pedals attached. A Pedal Power II is attached underneath and all cables are dressed neatly to reduce any issues with loose connections or unwanted noise. There is no bottom to these boards in order to keep the overall weight down. They are easy to move, and come with a soft case which in most cases will work for transportation purposes. You can order a hardshell case if you think you need that level of protection.

Customer Support : 10

I received outstanding customer support from Jame Olsen at Trailer Trash. James spent the right amount of time with me (phone calls) to go over his ideas and my needs before he started the project. All of my e-mails were answered promptly and all my questions were addressed without any hesitation. I sent all my pedals to James ( about 3K worth) which he kept for less than 5 days. I think total time on the project was about a week, including shipping.

Overall Rating : 9

I play clubs and small venues, I am not a touring pro. I have had many board layouts over the years and never was really satisfied with any of them. They all seem to have some limitation or are just too big and clunky. My Trailer Trash board is the best investment I have made toward my pedals and their set up . I would recommend the individual boards themselves ( you can buy separately) to any guitarist ,and I would recommend having James do the wiring if you don't change your pedals a lot. The price may seem high but really it is in line with any custom board builder in the current market.
