Ease of Use : No Opinion
No pedal is "easy to use" per se. You need to sit down with it, figure out how it interacts with your amp, your guitar, where it should sit in your signal chain, etc.

However, I got great sounds out of it almost immediately.

Sound Quality : 10
The one I have is the Orange pedal with Blue face plate. I don't know how the other versions sound, so I can't speak for all models of the Univox Superfuzz.

Absolutely wonderful fuzz. Don't try to compare it to other fuzzes, it sounds like itself, just like you'd compare something to a Fuzz Face or a Big Muff.
2 settings: Scooped and Mid boost.

The Mid boost setting is cool, but not fuzzy enough. Sounds more like an overdrive bordering on fuzz.

I generally play it in the scooped mode. It has this nice little ultra compressed sound when you first pick a note. There are some really neat octave-ish overtones going on, but they don't sound ring mod-ish like if you were playing a Foxx or Octavia type pedal. Tre cool!

The output is pretty huge! Sounds great with single coils, P-90's, and definitely sounds incredible with humbuckers. Nice buzzy, warm, and round sound. Throw on the neck pickup if you feel like there isn't enough sustain. I love this with my 335 and Jazzmaster.

Like most other fuzzes, it will be a bit noisy on higher settings, but definitely nothing that will annoy you. Also, stacking it will be noisy, unless you're stackin with a clean boost like a zvex super hardon (nice combo by the way).

Throw a Zvex Machine in front of it and step back!

Reliability : No Opinion
Huge metal box. There's a reason these are still around after 30 years.

Haven't had it longer than 4 months, so I can't speak of it's longevity.

I've gigged with it, no problems.

Only bummer is when you unplug it, that doesn't mean it's off. You have to make sure you have stomped it off, otherwise, you'll blow through 9volts like it's going out of style.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Yeah right.

Call up Analogman if something happens to yours. Analog Mike is a true fuzz and pedal guru.

Gilmour has analogman fix up his fuzz pedals.

Abosultely wonderful, UNIQUE pedal.

This is my pride and joy! Tons of tone mojo goin on.

It makes heads turn and will definitely set you apart from the pack.

Try it on bass with an old 70's SVT, you'll be blown away (possibly literally).

I'd love to get another, but they seem to fetching some pretty high prices on ebay (worth it by the way) that are too high for me right now. This is MY sound now. I could never be tempted to sell it. This is one of super-producer Joe Barresi's secret weapons.
