Easy to get an awesome sound. It's the same as the Sam Ash Fuzzola, and similar to the circuit of the Fender Blender, Super Fuzz, and many other Japanese copy pedals that have that ultra-grind, ring-modulatin' germanium transistor fuzz with two tones, a bright & a midrang-ey one, via a selector switch. Two knobs, balance & expander (level & fuzz), and a tone switch. Super easy to use.

Noisy, of course, but not bad compared to most. Think Smashing Pumpkins, "Bullet with butterfy wings". Like the Blender, maybe a little brighter.

Not too sure... I don't think it would survive a drop to the floor, but the good thing about it is that you don't stomp it. It's built alot like the Univibe, and looks like it's little brother. It has a "cancel" input that you connect a stomp switch to to turn the fuzz on and off with, thereby enabling you to put the UniFuzz someplace safe. You can pick up the switch anywhere.

I think all those unicord/univox people are long dead...

I'm embarrased to admit the price I paid, but I don't see too many of these around, and I like it alot, especially since it has an AC cord (no batteries!!!). Would be upset if it were stolen, doubt I'd find another for a while. I have 2 Fender Blenders (4 & 3 knob). I've also had Maestro FuzzTones, old Big Muffs, etc. Like it alot. I didn't see this pedal reviewed, so I thought i'd be the first. All-in-all, I think it's right up there with all the other great fuzz pedals from the 60's/70's. Awesome thick, round fuzz.
