Ease of Use : 9
It is as easy as any power cable unit. Once I had my board laid out I didn't have any trouble running the daisy cables. I actually use 2 5 outlet cables which gives me a total of 9 power connections off of 1 1-Spot. Someone just asked me today was it clean and I said yes, but he ended up checking out himself. I am getting a 2nd one just to give a backup and even my load just in case. But you can easily run that many pedals off of one. I've had at least 5 effect active at any given time and even more a few times.

Sound Quality : 9
As above I was asked about hum or noise and we verified there was none. It runs all my effects easily, but I want a 2nd so if something happened live I'd be covered.

Reliability : 9
I've had mine about a year with no problems yet.

Customer Support : 9
No reason yet to deal with them.

I am a traditional rock/blues player, but am now playing Christian music. I've been playing over 31 years and this has been the easiest setup yet for me. I would consider one of the other power bricks, but it hasn't seemed necessary yet. This has been a solid product so far.

Ease of Use : 10
Very easy to use. Just plug it in.

Sound Quality : 4
Used it with Boss dd-20, boss od-20, zoom gs.1u , and Danelectro Fab overdrive.
There defiantly was a noticeable buzz when all the units were plugged in.
I later replaced it with a Dunlop brick and all the hum went away.
It works good for one pedal but the daisy chain is inherently noisy.

Reliability : 10
No problems with it funtioning.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Didn't deal with them.

Overall Rating : 2
I already replaced it so I would have to say, save your money and get a Dunlop DC Brick.
It will still work as a wall wart for one pedal though.

Ease of Use : 9
Obviously very simple to use. It was a little difficult to make the daisy-chain look neat with so much slack in between plugs... but it's much better to have more cable than you need than to not have enough.

The right angle plugs are brilliant, I don't know why nobody else offers them.

Sound Quality : 10
I was actually hesitant to buy this product because of some negative reviews I read about noise and whatnot. Now I am convinced they these people are having issues that are not related to the 1-Spot. I'd recommend this two anybody unless they have tons of power-hungry E-H pedals or Boss double pedals or something.

I'm powering a Dunlop JH-1 Wah, Boss BD-2 Blues Driver, Boss CE-5 Chorus Ensemble, Boss TR-2 Tremolo and Line 6 Echo Park. Even the Echo Park, which has been notoriously documented to get noisy when put on a daisy-chain, has given me zero problems.

I'd bet that people having sound quality issues are plugging the adaptor into a bad power strip (or one that's loaded down with all kinds of other stuff) that's sending hum through the chain.

After doing some tidying on my pedal board, I did notice that my Wah started giving me a slight pop when clicking on or off. It's probably because I shoved all the extra daisy-chain cabling into its empty battery compartment. I didn't notice it doing that before. Good idea aesthetically, probably a bad idea electronically. I'll need to find another way to hide all the excess cable.

Reliability : 9
I don't see why anything would happen to the 1-Spot under normal conditions. It's great for gigs (probably more geared towards those who use a pedal board) and much more reliable than a rat's-nest of cables and wall warts.

I love when people complain about the fact that the plug is plastic... have you ever heard of a metal AC adaptor? I guess they could make it out of some kind of heavy-duty rubber material.

I am very impressed with the thickness of the main cable. Far better than the extremely flimsy "official" AC adaptors from Boss, Line 6, Dunlop, etc. I feel like I would snap those cables with the slightest tug. Not so with the One-Spot. The main cable is thicker than the one for my TV!

Overall Rating : 9
This is great for gigging, church bands or messing around at home. Great for people on a budget because it eliminates the need to keep buying batteries, and it's far cheaper than the $100+ alternatives.

Now if you're a serious touring musician or going into a pro studio, you should definitely look elsewhere for more professional pedal powering options, but I would highly recommend this in most other situations

No sound, simple plug with a 5 jack extension.

Sound Quality : 9
a bit of noise over the 9V batteries but not much... I would suggest having good jumper cables and a nice shield guitar cable both to the amp and from the guitar.

Reliability : 9
Looks solid to me. I velcroed the adaptor so it does not rattle around in my pedal case.

This does exactly what I wanted it to do. A bit of noise, but nothing to fuss about unless you plan to record directly into a box or something.

Amazing value for the price too.

Easy enough to use. It probably came with directions but were tossed because it seemed easy enough to use. It was.

Sound Quality : 10
I have had the 1 spot for only about a month now and have never had a problem yet. I have not noticed any added noise from my set-up. I would say its a very quiet power source. I originally bought just the power adapter and one 5 link daisy chain. Ive aquired one more pedal so I needed to add another 5 link daisy chain. Simple enough.
Still works the same way only now I have an extra 4 links for later.
I am using it with boss pedals, guyatone,MI Audio, xotic bb and Ibanez ts-808. They all work great and I dont notice any noise at all.

Reliability : 9
I believe I could depend on it. So far so good for me. I take care
of all my stuff so it should last a while. Its also housed in my pedal board so it doesnt get moved around too much either

Customer Support : No Opinion
never spoke to them,,,hope I dont

Overall Rating : 10
Im glad I tried the 1 spot. I was totally against using adapters at all,,trying to stay on the battery path, but after aquiring more pedals it seemed worth the while to look into a pedal chain adapter.
I finally bought it,,,hooked it up to the pedals I had and was very pleased. I eventually bought a powerless pedal board because of it and now everything seems very easy and orderly.

I'm in the "noise" camp, which seems to be every 5th post in this thread.

Sound Quality : 1
Mine's an older one, at the time I bought two. A Visual Sound 1 spot, and an some other brand. One of the online houses was selling this one made in Germany that just says "Switchmode Power" on the back. I don't think it was made for music per-se.

The 1 Spot causes this noise that comes through the speaker, it's kind of like a theremin sounding high D note. It's kind of funny, a guy I play with says it sounds like the background of a 50's sci fi movie. So I throw some $400 modulation on it :) Good for laughs, but unacceptable for the the gig rig, and now it is being booted from rehearsals.

However the other brand "Switchmode Power" works great, powers a ton of pedals quietly. I am searching for another, and am wondering if the Godlyke one is the off brand I speak of branded with their label?

Reliability : 2
I can depend on that high D note, always.

You know maybe I should try, but mine is so old the logo is different. If they honored it, I'd be happy but have seen other companies do similar. (Sabine's stick on tuner, replaced years later when it fell and broke, no questions no warrenty card).

Overall Rating : 2
Seriously, I know how to troubleshoot- been in the IT business as a sys admin since the 80s. I don't jump to conclusions easily, I've swapped things out, and the power supply is the culprit.

Speculation as to why the noise might be in the design... whatever is used to switch (to give what is required by digital switch) is causing oscillation that leaks into the effect circuit somehow. Now thinking about it the sound is like when a noisy guitar/amp is near a computer.

No noise issues whatsoever. My boss delay is actually quiet now, thanks to the voltage regulation in the one spot.

So far I love it... It sure has cleaned up the clutter on my pedalboard. So far I'm running a tuner, 3 boss pedals, and a line 6 rotomachine from it and my rig is dead quiet. I bought an extra cable and plan on adding my custom overdrives and fuzzes to it as well. (I tried a few out last night and they worked great with zero noise as well.) I see no point in wasting board space for a power supply when I can just use this. What a great product!

Everyone else has acerbically covered this - it's really easy.

Sound Quality : 9
I use this to power my BOSS PH-2, EH Small Stone, EH Big Muff, and 1976 Univox Micro-Fazer. In my opinion, it's the best adapter you can buy. It powers all the pedals nicely, puts out a consistent 9.4 volts, and adds much LESS noise then other adapters. Yes, it is noisier then batteries - as are all adapters - but compared to the normal BOSS transformers, this thing is dead quiet. Even my Big Muff is hum-free. The only thing I noticed is that the ultra-fast phaser speeds tend to sound a little more garbled with this then with batteries, but that may be my imagination.

Reliability : 7
The unit has nice weight to it and the cords seem to be of pretty good quality. I wouldn't abuse it, but it seems to be durable enough. I'm using the battery clip and phone-plugs that came with the combo pack and haven't had a single problem.

I play everything - 9v is universal. It's the best adapter I've ever used, and the small size is a definite bonus. I now have a shoe-box full of 9v transformers.

You plug it into the wall...easy

Sound Quality : 9
I am using a pignose 40V with a 2X12 cab, OLP MM1 guitar and a Washburn Mercury Strat style guiter w/EMG active pickups - BOSS TU-2, Morley Wah, Rocktron Silver Dragon Distortion, Danelectro FAB Chorus, and a Carl Martin Red Repeat...Everything is VERY quiet when I use my OLP guitar...when I plug in the Washburn with the active pickups I noticed some buzz until I touch something metal on my guitar...grounding issue with the GUITAR not the 1 spot.

Owned a Godlyke before and the 1 Spot sounds just the same..

Reliability : 10
I depend on this for gigging since I have been burned with 9V batteries dying on me during a performance...I wouldn't use a backup.

Its an amazing essential product that is needed if you gig and have multiple pedals...batteries are uneliable and add up in price very quickly....

Simple, plug the daisy chain into each effect, then to the one spot then to the wall. simple.

Sound Quality : 9
I haven't experienced any hum or noise other than the usual noises from my amp. Using various Ibanez RG series electric and I have two pedal boards set up with one spots and daisy chains. My main board:;Boss metal zone, boss EQ, boss Chorus, Boss enhancer,Boss noise suppressor. Second board;DOD envelope filter,Arion octaver,DOD Phaser,Ibanez Digital Delay, Boss Noise suppressor. This system powers both boards quietly and effortlessly.

Reliability : 9
I haven't had it very long but mine have the thicker cord and it seems pretty sturdy, I would gig with a backup-murphys law-but I think it is a well built system.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Haven't dealt with them yet but I have heard good things about their customer service.

Overall Rating : 9
I have about 13 or 14 pedals-I'm a gear addict- And this works well with all of them. I had grown tired of blowing lots of money on 9 volt batteries and this is one of the best ways to solve that problem without spending lots of cash. Do your research to see if this system as there are some pedals that require extra adaptors, but the One Spot should help most guitarists eliminate wall warts and batteries. I would recommend this highly to guitarists like me who have lots of pedals and a need a relatively inexpensive way to power them.
