Plug it into the wall. Plug other end into pedal(s). Easy as pie.

Unusable. It produces an extremely annoying hum/buzz sound that just won't go away. I've tried it with several pedals (in combinations or individually), with several amps, with a few guitars, and with several different cables in three seperate locations. One amp was even battery powered (Roland Microcube); so it's not a ground loop issue. I use quality Planet Waves and Bill Lawrence cables; so it's not a matter of crappy cables. The hum/buzz is even present with the cable that is meant to go from the guitar to the first pedal is not connected; the buzz, however, does go away when I touch the shield part of the plug (the part you pull on to pull it out of a jack). I tried several outlets in all three locations. However, the buzz does go away when I touch something metal on the guitar or pedal, so it must be some kind of grounding issue in the 1 Spot. The pedal was NOT defective as I sent it back to Visual Sound and they replaced it. Both adapters had the same noise problems.
Be wary of these "switching" power supplies as they are very sensitive to noise. I'm willing to bet that there are a lot of people that are getting noise, but don't notice it in high volume, gig situations.
But what can you really expect for $30, right?

They were quite snappy on email responses and even replaced the adapter for me. However, it was, in the end, entirely futile, and I ended up wasting the cost of shipping twice--once to Visual Sound and the other time back to Musician's Friend. What a big waste of time and money. Although they tried to be helpful at Visual Sound, in the end they had no answer for me. I can't imagine that I'm the only one with these problems.

I'd really be wary of these. Only get one if you can get one from a store with a good return policy. Expect the worst.

Just plug it, hook up the daisy chain and whatever adapters you need, and you're set. It's power supply so how hard could it be?

Does add some noise, but not much more than my rig already puts out anyway, so it's really no problem. At present I'm using this with a Memphis '72 Tele Custom copy through three Danelectro pedals, a Fab Tone, a Tuna Melt tremelo, and BLT echo into a Music Man RP 65 112. All pedals work fine with this. It also seems that when using this instead of a 9 volt the Fab Tone seems a bit less harsh. I'm not sure if it's just this adaptor, as before this I only ever used it with batteries.

I'm only playing as a hobby these days, so this stays at home. However I don't see any reason why you couldn't gig with this with no problems. Backups are always a good thing to have, but I would feel pretty safe gigging with this with no backup or batteries.

For the price I paid, you can't beat it, and it's definitely much cheaper than having to buy a pack of 9 volts all the time. If something were to happen to this, I might buy another one or I may look into the Godlyke Powerall. But, if you're sick of 9 volts and wall warts, this is definitely worth a shot.

Does add a fair bit of noise. I had a Godlyke Powerall which I lost, so I bought this to replace it. BIG difference. the Godlyke PA9 was much quieter and also a bit more expenpive... so i guess you get what you pay for.

Pretty decent for the cost, it'll get the job done. Basically I'm using this during practice to cut down on my battery spending. It does add a a good deal of noise to my setup, more than what is acceptable imho.

I am definitely a gear junky. I have been using the 1 Spot to power an MXR DynaComp, Boss Blues Driver, EHX Big Muff (using the 9 volt batt. adapter plug), Danelctro EQ, Boss DD-6, and BBE Sonic Stomp. I have been very satisfied with the sound I get and am impressed with the amount of juice this thing puts out (1700 mA!). I haven't noticed any noise since using it; much quieter (and more manageable) than a bunch of wall warts.

I can definitely depend on this one. I have had it for a few months now and have gigged numerous times with it. It always performs great. I was a little worried about it when I first got it because its so small, but it's well made and size is its advantage (i.e. less chance for it to get stepped on, etc.)

The 1 Spot is great. It gives me the ability to power all my stomp boxes (with 1 exception) with a single plug. The exception is my EHX Deluxe Memory Man, which is 24V DC rather than 9. If it were stolen, I don't know if I'd buy another; I'd probably shop around a bit more than I did when I got this, but it came free with my pedalboard, and I'd never turn down free gear. I don't mean to sound dissatisfied with it, cause I'm not (I even bought another 5 plug extension for it). Overall I'd say its a good value, even at the list price of $35, since there's nothing else really comparable in the same price range.

Completely simple. Plugged it up, connected the daisy chain, put on the appropriate adapters (1/8" plug), hooked it into the pedals I had handy (ProCo RAT, Dano mini Chorus and mini Flanger, Arion stage tuner, and a DOD Digital Delay) and it worked wonderfully.

See above for pedals. I'm currently using a 72 Telecaster Thinline reissue thru a vintage Sunn 2x12 tube combo amp. There's a very, very slight buzz, but it's nothing more than when I plug straight into the amp.

Seems pretty reliable. Apparently the older model wasn't built very well, but I have the newer version, and it seems pretty sturdy. I haven't played any shows with it yet, but I'd feel confident using it. I'd definitely carry along some spare 9v batteries just in case. Better safe than sorry.

I've been playing on and off for almost 10 years now. I strum around on everything from drone/sludge metal stuff, to Orchid and Pg.99 type punk rock, to Bauhaus and Jesus and Mary Chain-esque noise stuff. I'd definitely pick up another one of these if this one was ever lost (esp. since a local guitar shop matches Musicians Friend prices). Someone recommended the Godlyke power supply, but it was a bit on the expensive side, so I opted for the 1 Spot and am very happy with it.

I have never experienced any noise at all. I plug the One Spot into a power strip. Usually the only other thing plugged into the power strip is my Delux Memory Man - occassionally my amp is in there too, but there's never been a problem.

I am into effects laden youth oriented worship music.
I have played guitar for 38 years and my skill level has already risen to the point where a guy should be after 3 years. I get a lot of comments about how good I sound, but none about how well I play. Consistent practice might have been worth trying.
I bought this adapter because it was inexpensive and therefore worth a try. Also, I looked on the visual sound website and Bob Weil seemed like a decent guy. I have not regreted this purchase - in fact, I'm going to buy two more, one as a spare and one for a board I'm putting together for my daughter.
I am running a cheap pretender HSS guitar into AnalogMan Mini Bi-Comp > EH Small Stone Phaser (soon to be modified by Mike) > AnalogMan Clone Clone Chorus > AnalogMan SD-1 808 Silver Mod > Keeley BD-2 Phat Mod > Delux Memory Man > Boss TR-2 > Peavey Prowler (40 Watt Tube). There are two venues where I can route some of the effects through the effects loop, but in the main sanctuary setting using the effects loop adds too much cable. In that situation the amp is in another room, the speaker is mic'd and runs straight to the mains.
The cascaded modified Boss pedals have unlimited sounds but will not last much longer on the board as I am moving toward all true bypass. The tremolo definitely has to go - but the One Spot stays. I have powered seven pedals at a time with absolutey no problem. There is no reason to deduct any points. Truthfully, I can't understand why anyone would pay for more expensive pedal power options.

No hum at all, dead silent, works great. I'm using these pedals in this order, all powered by the One Spot & the 5-adapter thingy: Digitech Bad Monkey > Danelectro PB&J Delay > Boss RC-20 LoopStation > Danelectro Fish & Chips EQ > Arion Stage Tuner

Well, I thought that maybe the fact that I kept picking up the Disney Channel might have something to do with the One Spot, but when I played just straight into the amp it was there as well, so must be unregulated power issues of some kind that doesn't have anything to do with the One Spot. I'm not sure what the really big deal difference a Voodoo Lab Power Pedal with sag control or whatever would be, but I power 9 pedals with this baby, two of them double boss pedals with high consumption requirements, and it all sounds great. Most of the time I don't pick up any extra noise, its always at home when I practice. I use the One Spot at rehearsals and gigs, its always performed exactly as needed. Except that Visual Sounds' polarity reverser thing didn't work for me, but I got rid of the pedal that needed it anyway.

I have the mains and two daisy chains, and it does everything I need it to without taking up much room or costing like almost $200 or whatever. If you've got the money, he do it. But if you're on a budget like me, the One Spot has to be the literally least expensive way to keep a pedalboard powered.

This is more of a warning to try it before you need it. Maybe I just got the bad one in the batch, but it's been a long time since I've bought a defective product. I use a Voodoo Labs power pedal on my board, but I'm taking a cross country trip in a couple of weeks, only taking two pedals, and want to pack light. So, I bought the one spot about a week ago, and didn't get around to trying it out until last night. I pluged it into my Danelectro echo pedal and the led just flashed every few seconds, while my amp make a thud sound. I'm taking it back tonight.

Very easy to use. I run it offboard and plug it in wherever. The only hassle is the long cable gets tangled, but it's better than running ac near my pedals.

I'm running tele > seymour duncan booster > vox wah > homemade fuzz > visual sound jekyll and hyde > boss chorus > line6 delay > peavey C30.
I got the daisy chain and line6 adapter for a little extra. The booster and fuzz are usually not powered.
There is very little extra noise using the one spot. You have to be looking for it to notice it.

I depend on it a lot. I took the batteries out of my pedals (so they don't leak). I always use it without a backup. It has essentially increased the reliability of my other pedals because they can't eat batteries and go crazy on me.

I've been playing for about five years, and the one spot is great for me. The voodoo lab is too expensive, and wouldn't even fit on my board. With the one spot, I don't have to worry about batteries.
I may get the new version and another daisy chain and power all my pedals.
