Ease of Use : No Opinion
Plug and play

I am using a voodoo modified 2 channel dual rectifier / voodoo amps 4x12 wired with Voodoo 50/50 speaker cable with 1 greenback / 1 v30 /1 super v / 1 g12h30 heritage.

These cables smoke everything I have tried. I even have my rack full of the patch cables. I used to use George L and regret not having the voodoo cables the last time I recorded as they are fuller and more harmonicaly rich. The direction of any cable changes the sound and these are no different in that regard. One direction will give a mid hump and the other direction has more bass and highs with a scooped mid. Think I am crazy? Well I am but it is a fact among gear heads so give your ear a test and you will see.

Reliability : No Opinion
Very dependable with Neutrik ends.

I always have a backup guitar / amp etc and even though I do carry a backup cable I have not had to use it and tug on the cord by accident at every show.

Very good customer support

Overall Rating : No Opinion
I play styles from industrial to alternative to chiken pickin.

Been playing for 23 years or so.

I would buy as many of these as I could afford as my friends always want to borrow them for recording etc.

The sound is full and rich compared to compressed and tinny from many of the other cables I tried. I have no complaints. Favorite feature is the tone and rugged construction.

I have tried planet waves / George L both types / proco / 4 monster types and some hifi cable that sounded sterile and brittle but I dont remember the name?

Ease of use....uh... it's a cord....Yes,I know. It's not exactly what you would put in the effects section, but:
1) There is no where else to put it.
2) It can be an effect...tho' usually a terrible one... (snap, crackle, pop anyone?)
This category definitely gets a 10 for ease of use...I don't care how critical you are.

Sound Quality : 10
Currently I am using this cord with:
voodoo lab preamp, digitech gsp2101,carvin t100 poweramp, yamaha dg stomp, crate 212 combo(yuck) and some other stuff. Using a les paul classic carvin dc 127, and a strat copy with carvin singles with it. It sounds good with each. As a reference point, I was using the "good" monster cable, which was better than any of the cables I had used previously ( think pro co, whirlwind, etc.I did not use cheapo cables before either.)
I spoke to Trace at voodoo when buying this cable.VERY knowledgeable guy, very friendly, but I will get to that in customer service later. He told me that they had gone into a top flight local studio, and a/b'd their cable with monster cable, both live and recorded. Here are some of the conclusions they came up with, and I happen to concur.
The voodoo amp cable has essentially the the same CLARITY as the monster cable did.Very transparent, bright with very clear sound conduction. The main difference in the voodoo cable is that it has a more "open" sound. Trace told me this, and I had no clue what the hell he meant. So I ordered two anyway, thinking I had not much to lose...( introductory price of 16 bucks each???). Anyway...what I feel he meant by "open" was that it still had all the clarity and transparency, but seemed to have more volume, more bass perhaps...a little fuller. I'm sorry, but it's a little intangible. You really can't describe it with an e.q. curve...it just seems to have a bit "more". Now, if you have really muddy pickups...I would say go with a monster....but they would have to be really muddy. They actually have a similar tone, but the overall feel is bigger with the voodoo...( and that ain't no doo0doo...:)

Reliability : 9
It feels very solid. Thicker than my monster ( not THAT monster...:)
I would not use a cord on a gig without a backup...what happens if you twist it and it shorts out? You so clazzy...

Ok. I would have to say this is the single coolest owner of a company I have ever corresponded with. Everyone in this forum says the same thing, and now I'm one of them. Very good, thoughtful, professional, and INTERESTING experience.Answered everything with great patience, promptly answered emails and is genuinely interested in helping. I will definitely be using them in the future and from the reviews on their gear and the elevated build quality I see on these cables , it won't be for mickey mouse stuff, either.A solid 10 on customer service.

I play heavy metal, progressive fusion rock, jazz, flamenco,a little classical and some funk.In that order. This is a very high quality cable, and I have no reservations recommending it for any style of music. I have been playing (ick)around 20 years...damn, I really AM old!:)If lost, I would not hunt anyone down, pork them with pork and beans or any other crazy stuff, but I would go out and get new ones...matter of fact, I need some new short ones for patches..(which they will also do in shorter sizes.)which I will be ordering soon.
Does it hurt or help make music? ANYTHING which makes ME sound better ALWAYS helps!I will give a 9 so I don't get shot down by the "glowing review police" ( just kidding...we love you guys...I mean it...)
