Hi, I'm just rating the mod not the pedal itself...sooo

Well, I sent it off to Trace, and He said he could fix it up to sound much better than original, howener when I got it back, I found it a bit harder to use, very mushy, and sort of wished that I had the original version again. Anyway I would'nt recomend gettin this pedal modded, after spending about 100$ for the peadl, $50 for the mod, their super expensive shipper (30$! for ground?) you're up to almost $200. the real tube by itself with a good tube is an excellent pedal for under 100 bucks if you find it used. If you want a really great pedal for about 200 just get a radial Tonebone - they're absolutely great!

the guys at voodoo are great on the phone. i think they shouldn't promise anything about things that they have no real experience with.. From what I hear, if want them to do a high gain/marshall type mod, they're suppsed to be really good- otherwise beware of the promises...

Anyway I sold it for about $40, and felt bad about it because I thought it sucked, but I hope the new person likes it (out about $100, but learned something along the way, so I'm just calling it tuition for a life lesson...)

This pedal has a volume,gain ,and a three band EQ high , mid ,and low knobs.It is easy to use.Really no need for a manual.

I have had this pedal for a while now and it sounded very good.But the only thing that I didn't like was the mids.This pedal is on the trebly side and not full enough.I use it as a booster or for soloing only.So I decided to send it to Voodoo Amps to have it modded.This pedal sounds great as is or modded with effects like delay,chorus and reverb.It sounded good before it was modded but now it sounds even better. The EQ is more even and full sounding. It sounds is more like a Marshall.

I would use it on a gig.I think it is reliable.It's in a metal casing so I don't think it will break.Good sturdy cord and knobs too.

This is my first mod by Voodoo Amps.They were very helpful with helping me figure out what I wanted to have done.I told them what sound I was going for and what I didn't like about my pedal.They replied to my emails pretty quickly.I have read other peoples reviews of the great work that they've had done on their amps so it seemed to be the best thing to do.

Well if you knew what I went through to get my pedal there you would have to thank our wonderful postal service.But it finally got there and the job was well done.I am a Marshall person and I am true to tube tone.I don't think that I will ever use a solid state pedal again (BOSS). Tubes just have it all whether in your amp or in your pedal ,it's the way to go.The thing that I don't get is why Marshall has yet to put out a line of tube pedals.Maybe someday!Keep rockin!!!
